Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Couple of very warm days, upper 90s; now it’s raining & we should have a high of 73 tomo — be nice to give the A/C a break til 104 on Weds. 🙄 One of the volunteers at Recycling had cut up a lovely watermelon and was handing it out to the folks dropping off. Such a nice unexpected little treat 😋

I’ve been rather busy today. Cooking for Casey, fans. The fans are hard to deal with. I’m tired. Got the Knicks/Spurs on now. Does anyone think some rigging goes on? Like they want the series to keep going to make more money?

Good evening….I’ve been sitting on my porch, reading, looking at my IPAD, and sometimes just nothing….earlier I did some outside work, pulled weeds, picked up sticks, and swept the messy driveway. DH has been working at his rentals for a few hours. Time to feed the dogs..

I was a tomboy. I thought dolls were silly and I really had a hard time with tea parties, although I learned how to fake it with my child and grand-daughters. 🤣
