Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

vintage cars are parked on a few streets downtown and the roads are blocked off so you can walk on the streets…food, music, vendors, etc…lots of towns have them, and sometimes restaurants…even nursing homes.

One more cup of coffee then I will head outside. Ok a story theres this guy who walks to cats they just follow him the thing is the last 2 times he has gone by my house across the street one of his cats has caught and killed a baby rabbit. I’m mad as hell, in the morning looking out my window I have watched those little rabbits play and run up and down the side walk and I don’t get to see them anymore, I sort of yelled at him yesterday about it. But now looking out my window… Read more »

I did the poor bunny was hiding in some plants and the cat just stuck its head in the plants and came out with the rabbit, st a very young age when the rabbits leave the nest all they know how to do is freeze they don’t know enough to try and run away they don’t stand a chance against a cat😣

Good morning Julie. That’s exactly what Rick did yesterday He moved all of his patio plants cleaned him up and then cleaned the ground that they were on because they had so much debris from the plants in between them. It was very hot when he did it good I went for a walk and to my surprise I saw the cat looks like Roger in his spot. I don’t walk that way every day so I was happy to see that the cat is still around. I know it has a home it lives in front of that house… Read more »
