Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I’m back inside the sky got dark and there were big gusts of wind a storms a brewing got lots done today. I can see all the way to the back of the yard😍 some thing happened to the Robin’s nest or eggs? Maybe a squirrel or another bird I found one egg broken it was just a yoke. I bought savoy cabbage. Never heard of it. I thought I’d tell you before I forgot what it is called.
Savoy cabbage is good you don’t cook it whole rather chop it up and saute it
I have never cooked regular cabbage whole. I usually cut it up in hunks and microwave it. Years ago, early 1980s I did sauté it Thai style in oil and sweet soy sauce.
That sounds good. My sister would cut up purple cabbage and saute with tomato juice
I boil it with corned beef. Yum!!
I’ve never done that.
