Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Oh yeah!!!
I LOVE THIS! My favorite migration.
However, my girls don’t stay put like hers.
Mine left with the weight. I’m much lighter now!
Picture of that Lynn sent me the other day
nice shot Lynn ♥
thanks…took that during our walk after the Thanksgiving meal.
Pretty and well framed. Thanks.
Definitely a magazine cover. Very nice Lynn!!
Good evening…we went out for a few hours..farm store (cat food, dog treats, dog toys, a throw for the couch, etc..then to get a couple things at Walmart (hand lotion, toilet paper, coffee, tea..) and ate at Cracker Barrel….saw my mom and sister at the farm store. My helper just stopped by with a Christmas card and homemade blueberry bread, yum…and a nice surprise. My sister might come over later for a little while.
Blueberry bread sounds really good.
it was! my sister tried a piece, too.
Hi Lynn ♥ Very nice of your helper to bring a yummy gift 😋
Glad you got out Lynn and made the full rounds. Wow, nice to have a helped that brings delicious treats! Good your sister came by.
A throw for the couch. Sounds nice. It was cold today – I could have used one. Brrr
Very cold today; barely reaching 35 degrees. Brrr
It has taken me the entire day to read the newspaper, i couldn’t seem to get thru it 🙄 I did watch PBS’ The Great Escaper from last week with Michael Caine/Glenda Jackson. It was so good and yes 😭
You were cold today
Hi Ardyth ♥ felt even colder; it might snow
😯
Too cold for even snow in my opinion. 😃
Hi Pam it always took me a long time to read the Sunday paper. I really miss having a real paper, one I could hold in my hands.
Hi Debbie, i miss a real paper too 😟
Rick loves his but at the cost of $1200 a year, used to split the cost with Laura
That’s a ridiculous price.
I miss the crossword puzzles. A boss I had once “made” us all come in and work the puzzle before we started work. 😅
I think I would like that boss c
He was a great boss.
Debbie, however are you and Jo going to move all that furniture, etc around?
They are supposed to move it but I don’t know what they will do about the desk it doesn’t go thru the door. I guess they will just have to do the floor in parts.
They have to do flooring in parts a lot of times, like with toilets and hallways and doorways. I’m sure they can handle that easy if necessary. I’m glad you guys don’t have to move the stuff
That was a specific question we asked.
Glad you did. I probably wouldn’t have thought of it until the last minute.
Cold? OMG I thought I would freeze when I opened the front door for about 10 seconds. 21 deg.
That is cold!
Awww. Caitlyn Clark’s 9 yo golden retriever died.
oh no………………….are they playing? I dont even know.
No not playing.
😢 Poor Caitlyn and her family; we all know how painful that is 💔
So True 🙏
😥💔
How sad. 😥
Some guy posted this on Facebook I thought it was cool Decorated the bird house and my little torch cactus for the season!
So the bird house was on Facebook and the cactus yours? Both are so cute!
No that was written by the person that posted
Thanks.
Very clever — and Brave to wrap the cactus 😟
cute!
Now he really likes to decorate! 😅 Cute though.
My last hot turkey meal. Rick made turkey soup which I didn’t have any of today.
Your meal still looks good to me. So does the soup.
Rick made one meal for him that he might eat tomorrow which I doubt since we’re going out for Mexican food and the rest was thrown away except for the Turkey we kept that. I’ve eaten that dinner for three and a half days so I think we got our money’s worth up I can still have a cold Turkey sandwich and cranberries
I think I have another meal I’ll have to look. And from our turkey I froze enough to make several meals. 3 bags, each probably 3 meat meals. Didn’t freeze any sides but we always have frozen Bob Evans Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes.
we threw out all the sides today
we finished ours so didn’t have to throw any into the ravine..wonder if the ravine critters were waiting, lol
Good deal, Debbie.
