Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Sounds like Michael is doing good. So he will spend one more night in the hospital: Dr Cole just came in to talk to us about Michael’s MRI report. Shows that he did have a stroke and a little damage from it. His left eye’s peripheral vision isn’t 100% but it’s getting better just from what it was yesterday. His short term memory will be effective some but it too will improve each day. But over all his stroke was very mild with its effects. They have him on Heparin, a blood thinner drip, and are wanting to keep him… Read more »

Fire Update: Unfortunately, the wind picked up last night and another 17,000 square miles went up in flames; making it over 200,000 square miles. With single digit humidity, it’s not going to be contained any time soon. 😔🙏
Our fire warning went away, but the air quality alert is alive and well — and it’s only July 😩
Good still morning for you Pam. So, if the fire has spread and air is still bad, why did your fire warning go away? But that is the best part.
Beautiful picture, Pam. Took my breath away. 😘
I need to refresh too Pam my pink has faded💖 weara mask when you need to go outside-keep doors and windows closed, for the smoke
oh Pam, I hate hearing/reading this…
Hi Pam 😍 What a shame that we are losing so many trees and other foliage, as well as other natural, beautiful things. I keep checking to see if Rocky Ford is in the direct path and am thankful the fire has stayed away so far. Praying it continues to stay away and that it can be put out. I heard they think it was caused by humans and have called many expert firefighters as well as engineers, to try to put it out. I’m so grateful you guys are safe and are able to take any actions that could… Read more »

Good Morning Pam, they should just ban them in Colorado, because of the fires. That Smokey was a real bear cub who was burnt in a wild fire AKA Hot foot Teddy
Poor guy, but happy ending. He lived 26 more years.
That is a cute comic with a not cute, important underlying message.
Look at Lynn’s cute dogs for the 4th of July
All dressed up ready to go. They are cute! Hope fireworks aren’t scaring those babies.
Aww, they look so cute; love Scout’s red flower-bandana 💗
