Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. ok well this is weird…said duplicate comment when I replied to Debbie but it’s not..and haven’t gotten that duplicate thing in ages…was telling her we hardly ever go to lunch..and that he had a box of post cards for the thrift shop..he wasn’t too thrilled with what she offered him but I should have told him most people just donate to her store, most or all of the money goes towards the local needy…let’s see if this posts.

Good afternoon…thanks Ardy for posting my “Happy 4th of July” picture..I’ve been sending it in texts to people. There is a red flower with a bit of sparkle and a blue flower with little flags on Scout…Bane does have something for the 4th, might try to get a picture later.
DH and I went out for a bit…lunch at the little coffee/cafe, bought some decaf coffees for me at a gift shop, and a book at the book store.

thanks, Debbie…kind of different to go to lunch with him..he had a box of post cards to show the thrift shop lady…I could tell he wasn’t that thrilled with what she offered him..but she mostly just takes donations, though…he did take it plus a $30 store credit for me. Most or all of what she makes there goes to help the needy in our community.

Today is Fry-Day……………….I walked this morning and it was cool, 68° but it is 99° now and going up. I did a load of laundry.
Rick is making bean soup with leftover hambone and ham that was in the freezer. I am not crazy about ham soup but we plan to go see Patti and the BoonDocks tomorrow and she is the reason he is making it. She loves it.
Just did a fry-day Ardyth, its nice Rick is making Patti her favorite soup, I had some ham and bean soup in the freezer and had that for dinner a couple of nights ago, I let it cool way down before I could eat it. How does Rick make his soup is it with beans or peas? or is it like boiled dinner?
He used great northern beans…..we dont like split pea soup.

State fair in DC is shut down to exsesive heat, many people collapsed after heat related illness, Philidelphia cancels large parade due to heat its just safer to stay home these things need to be shut down, people don’t know enough to stay out of the heat. In DC there was no AC set up for visitors
Hope there are medical teams available. First and foremost, pour cold, not iced, water over the top of the head, drink some of the same temp water, get out of the sun and Wear A Hat!

I get scam calls about Medicare, its always calls from my area code called Medicare and here’s a sight that you can report the scam number too ReportFraudftc.gov, I just filled a number report from a scammer
We get a lot of calls on our landline that say “unknown caller”. We blocked those. Not to long ago the block list was filled up. It takes a 1000. So we had to delete all them and start over.
