Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Wow that is so hot! I know you have low humidity but good grief. Speaking of humidity, I was wondering if people in Arizona have trouble with more nose and sinus problems?
Or dry skin?

I have never heard anything…..the state is so different up north than down south.
I use lotion every morning and my skin is fine…..sun damage…yes I have that

I was just thinking how people where I live often have problems with dry skin in the winter when humidity was low. I’d run a console humidifier to keep my skin from cracking and dry lips.

Still hot and low humidity. I don’t think I’ve ever seen our humidity lower than about 30% even in really cold weather.

Julie, Read below. You were going to Judy’s mother’s birthday party and this is what she wanted, so I googled it to see what it was. I love rice crispy bars and ice cream, so it should be great

Good morning and it is a good one! At 8a/MDT, officials announced 13% containment of the Aspen Acres Fire. 💖
I sure enjoyed spending yesterday with my BellaFam; it was so much fun 😘 My favorite was the Boston Pops & the way the music always matches the fireworks. Having said that, many cities put on a spectacular lightshow. 😎
