Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. It was truly wonderful to watch The Big Bear Valley eaglets, Sandy and Luna, staying perched in their nest, as calm as can be, watching the fireworks last night. 😅🙏 Everyone was so worried that they would panic and be injured or disappear forever. We were also worried that their parents, Jackie and Shadow, would be spooked and leave the area, as they have in the past.
But . . . It went great!!!! Jackie and Shadow spent the night somewhere in the area, but I don’t know if anyone knows exactly where..

Good evening. Been up since 4:00 am. Dutchess was having a rough time, probably because of all the barking from the fireworks. Then I had to work on paperwork. And while I was up and feeling halfway decent, I decided I needed to do some serious cleaning in a couple of areas. So I cranked the music and did that non-stop until about 4:00 or 4:30 pm, took a nap, and then didn’t get up until about an hour ago. Hey, Debbie. I didn’t really plan to be that busy today, but you know how it goes sometimes. I am going to have some chicken, green beans, and a sweet potato. Hello I just got home I’m just beat, we went to hear music at Blue grass Festival its called the Catfish Featival, hung out there for a couple of hours then went back to the house to make dinner, ate, took the dog for a walk I’m home and ready to lay down-Just waiting for Jusy to give a call that she’s made it home safe
