Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I think I’ll wait to chunk up the watermelon. The fridge is pretty full of our yesterday’s take out, the produce and other things from yesterday. Plus I got peaches and strawberries that spoil pretty quickly.
Eat the peaches for sure. I boiled up a half dozen eggs😋 I like them on salads
I scrambled two eggs for lunch, couple slices of tomato, and a peach for lunch. 😋. I like boiled eggs on tossed salads.
I’m having that for dinner😋
I got salad fixings maybe I’ll make a salad for lunch tomorrow. Tonight I’m having Chinese!

Hello..went for a walk this morning with Bane, my walking friend and her dog. It got more and more humid as we walked.
Our community has been sad…an 8 year old girl was struck and killed by lightning 😥 …not sure what I’m doing this afternoon, probably not a lot, maybe read on the hammock
Hi Lynn, always good to walk with a friend you got it in I suppose before the humidity got to it’s worse. We have humidity about 65% outside and 73% inside!
That is tragic about the little girl. Was it thundering or maybe the lightning just came out of the blue? So sad.
there was a rumble of thunder so one of the adults said it’s time to go in..
What anyone would do. You need to hear the rumble to know about lightning. We can’t stop what we are doing just because it is cloudy or even because we see a dark cloud. Who really does that? So this was a freak occurrence.

Good morning Bella Buds. I got some rest and ready for the day. I’ve already washed the dishes from last night, common after a trip. I’ve also made new for the hummers and will have to wash the dirty feeders. I have two sets of feeders so they don’t have to wait for the washing. I like to soak them too before washing, so that takes extra time. I need to cut up a watermelon, not a favorite job. So this and that and a few more that’s. Y’all have a good day.
I had to refresh to see your post Debbie and Good Morning I still have to cut up my h2o melon. I’m finishing coffee the going to go outside need to go get TP at the Dollar store. I’m cleaning the kitchen sink, I scrub it down let the cleanser sit on it for a bit
