Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Very nice.
Her yard is so pretty 💗
It is but I don’t know what I’m seeing.

You Got it!
Nice sprinkler. I have one of those also. I can’t keep the growth in my yard at a low level. It works great. Your yard looks so homey!!
Maybe some petunias? And maybe some tall Cosmos that haven’t flowered yet? So lush!

Aw, another kid to raise. 😄 💗
I think I’m going to set up my sprinkler for my garden then I don’t have to stand there and get eaten by mosquitoes I let it run about 20 minutes then turn off the water. I’m going to do that now BRB
Sounds like a good idea!
I’m watering as I type here I got soaking wet and squirted in the face trying to figure it out😂
🤣
😂
Hi ML*WA😍💜
😘
😂
What a beautiful and magnificent artist. Wonder if she learned on her own? I had to watch that about 4 times! Thanks, ML-WA. 🤗
😘
A better way to do it. Easier and waters slower. More time to soak in.
Sounds like a good idea Julie
And I’m refreshed I got wet doing it
Good afternoon
Lynn asked me to post her picture.
Another 112 day in the shade. Chuck and Wendy came for haircuts this morning.
Rick is making spaghetti for supper.
Thanks Lynn and Ardy. Another beautiful wheelbarrow planter. A wonderful peaceful place.
It is very pretty
Beautiful arrangement Lynn😍💓💜💚 thanks for posting Ardyth😘
She said the flowers have filled in more now.
These are so pretty
thanks, everyone 😍
Pretty beautiful petunias, Lynn. Thank you. And thanks to you, Ardyth.
I’m back inside ran a errand and dead headed things outside watered plants in pots, still holding out for rain later if it doesn’t come by 7pm I will water my garden. Had Jade outside while I was out. I got really hot its 84 with high humidity, hydrating right now
What does dead headed mean? Cut them down?
Cut the dead flowers off, you do that for Petunias so they keep on blooming, I also had a invaisive flower that when it goes to seed can produce 2,000 seeds so I cut the flowers off after its done blooming because the bees love the flowers the invaisive is called creeping purple bell flower they are beautiful flowers
Thanks Julie. If they are pretty and bees love them why cut them? Are you worried about too much of a good thing?
