Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. This heat is just killing me. Even in air conditioning, it makes me go to sleep. I just woke up from my little nap. Of course I will be ready to go to sleep again in an hour or two. 😅

Good evening….sitting on my porch for a bit. I did laundry and watered flowers, that’s about it, it was hot! Bane had fun in the sprinkler. Tomorrow will be cooler and I’m going to walk Bane over to my dog walking friend’s house and we’re just going for a short walk…later in the afternoon a friend is stopping by to chat by the butterfly garden..I’ll have treats for us.

sometimes I walk up to it and catch a few sprinkles but it’s so cold!
Wow I’m surprised it is so cold. Your water lines must be buried pretty deep. What was your temp outside today?
water from the hose is always cold…we used to have to add hot water to the tub when we gave dogs baths years ago.

Her Dad definitely has Covid and her mother was exposed, and brother. Mom is sick but Covid not confirmed for sure.
