Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I missed chatting with y’all today (Saturday). 😟 It took me forever to cook and eat supper tonite. But it was great!!! Eggs, sausage, pancakes. First time in a while. Pam, I’m so glad Rick is doing so well. Rehab can do wonders. I can hear how happy you are every day. Oh — I would have said “milk,” right away. Nothing better to top off supper. The toilet/man conversation had me going for a minute. 🤣 I still don’t think i figured it all out. Julie, I’m happy to hear your little B’flys are doing so well. It has… Read more »
HI Karen…..pan fried in oil with salt/pepper and flour. I have never used lemon on Walleye my whole life. My mom fried the best lake caught walleye when we went fishing Up North.
Hi Ardyth. I’ve never had Walleye. You make it sound so good. Mom’s have that way about them. ❤️ I love salmon, but I like it best smoked.
Lady Bug I thought this post was from last night, then it was from early this morning, good your getting more sleep breakfast for dinner is a treat, I like doing that to. Get some rest and see you later😘🐞🌻
Hi Karen glad you had the energy to cook, bet it really hit the spot. ‘The man/toilet conversation started out with Pam talking about Rick’s wonderful improvement. I commented I thought that people who have experienced a big interruption of personal skills, are most happy about regaining the ability to self feed, do their bathroom duties themselves, and dress themselves, in that order. I commented the first time I had a male nurse to help me at a bedside toilet (I couldn’t yet get to the bathroom) it was hard on me. I was actually talking about physically wiping! A… Read more »
Debbie .. I am laughing!! 😂🥲😅 First time for you to have a man. I had to read that several times!! I like to keep a good stock of canned goods. I try to buy them when no one else wants to — much cheaper, usually. Some stay good for 5 years! I did wake up very late. I seem to be doing that more often, for some reason. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could get back to sleep right away, but I usually can’t, so I try to do something productive. I think part of it is… Read more »
You wake up late because you are up doing things all through the night!
No body here for over an hour so it is that time I say good night. We gave Casey some pain medicine, he seemed subdued. It is so hard sometimes with them to decide if they are just sleepy, or if something is wrong. But he does seem to be eating like a little pig now. Good night to everyone. Pam, so happy for the good report about Rick. Go Rick! But a special shout-out to his siblings, I know they play a big role. Hope we hear good news from Julie tomorrow. Positive thoughts are flowing. Hope everything is… Read more »
I hope Casey feels better this morning, Debbie. Poor little guy. 💙
Thank you Karen. Maybe just the rainy day hesterday and arthritis.
Casey wasn’t feeling good?
He seemed subdued, it is so hard to tell with birds. Could be the rainy weather caused some hurting, so we gave him pain medicine. He did seem to eat well after the medicine.
We ate the Walleye. It was great!
That looks so good.😋
Looks good.
I’m sure you are in bed, I hope asleep. Good night Ardy.
I like the plate! 😀
Oh my i was so busy looking at the food I didn’t even see the plate! How cute!
🐟🐟🐟 I just had to use them…..lol
Yummy looking food. Love the plates too.
Digest it well !
Nice plate 🙂. The fishmeal looks good. I hope it is still ok for your tummies. 😘.
Happy sunday !🦩.
Thanks Gabi, We are both alive and well….lol
Thank God. 😃
😋My favorite fish walleye and perch. My Dad caught a big Walleye when we were at a lake not far from where my parents live it was 34 1/2 inches it was mounted and hangs on a wall in my Dads room
Linda had a new fire started about an hour ago, a few miles from them. 21 mph winds. They are on high alert. We saw her city on NBC News within the fire zone. Keep her in your prayers.
Thanks Debbie 🙏
I am glad for your brother. He seems much better. 🙂.
My first thought was milk. (Drinks with M.) Lol.
prayers
Oh no !
Oh no, Debbie. I didn’t see this post or hear any news. I am definitely praying. 🙏❣️
Just got home. Going to cook eggs, sausage, and pancakes. Kind of tired though. Oh well. 😄
Sorry you are tired…I am too
I bet you will be tired for a few days.
That sure sounds good Karen but maybe take out and save that for tomorrow. But you may find it smells so good you will forget how tired you are.
I chose Option #2. I had a real hankering for it. But as I was eating, I started thinking about Option #1.
