Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

DH made chicken fries for dinner, we dipped them in ranch dressing…not bad..he said next time he’ll make them a bit smaller and cook them longer..I know he used canned chicken breast, some kind of cheese, spices.

I just thought chicken fries were boneless chicken cut in the shape of fries, with a light coating and fried! Shows what I know!

I’m not sure! I really didn’t know the cheese part. I thought the spices like the Colonel. 11 of them, but not cheese.

Hello…I was surprised there were vendors at the farmer’s market but there were..got some tomatoes. It’s another rainy gray day. I’ve been lazy. In a little while we might go to FIL’s house for a short visit, also maybe Aldi.

I guess it depends on what kind of vendor. Lots around here have home made soaps, breads. Maybe spices. Candles. Hope you get out to go somewhere.

Hi Debbie..different kinds..veggies, crafts, baked goods, flowers, soaps, candles, a variety. I actually could just stay home, it’s just so gray and damp out..but the caregiver there now loves to see the dogs and we could get one or two things at Aldi.

We don’t have very big ones here. I may decide to go check out the one in Columbia, 15 miles away. I’ve never been to it but from what I see and read online about it, pictures, it is probably the best one this side of Lexington. Or, go to the Amish area .

Howdy-do BellaFam 💖 Beautiful morning; around 70F; Chuck went to Pueblo, had lunch with Rick; Rick ate tomato SOUP with his right hand and didn’t spill it 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ Two days ago, he couldn’t even hold the spoon. And he has 10 more days of therapy 🤗 His PT was there, they have a series of questions; one was: Name a drink that starts with M — Martini, Margarita, MaiTai; she said that adults ALWAYS say something alcoholic. When they ask that same question of children; they always say Milk. The #1 answer is Milk. 🙄 Everyone in the room was… Read more »

I still have trouble with those type of lids. Even more the cellophane ones covering little tv dinners, cottage cheese, yogurt. A lot of times I have to get a knife and cut them.

On the cellophane ones I usually break off the tab when I try to use pliers. I try to use my thumb and forefinger but the RA has made that hard.

Pam, that is wonderful progress for Rick. It has not been so long to already have that change. And it is a big deal to do this. We all eat! We all want to feed ourselves! These are all important. Next, our own potty. I think dressing ourselves is third. Someone might need to cut his meat, but that is no big deal to most if they can get it in their mouth on their own. Congratulations Rick!!! And happy siblings. ‘That chair looks like a good one. I hope Medicare is paying, they should. I couldn’t think of a… Read more »

Good afternoon! I’ve been up for about 4 hours and have been cleaning a little bit here and there and then took about an hour break and now I’m going to get ready to go to Walmart and a couple of other places. I want to check the prices of canned goods, particularly tuna, salmon, sardines, and chili, as I’ve heard they are going up a lot this month, due to TT (Trump tariffs). I have read a few posts, but not all yet. I hope everyone is having a great afternoon!! 😘 Still no rain here. 🙏
