Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Nancy has to lay for 2 hours and then go home. I said two hours will go fast, but it would be a long time if she wasn’t allowed to talk. I texted Tina with the update. Sherree would not want to do that!

Thanks. I may decide to have this done. Being on a blood thinner can be dangerous, so if we can get off the thinner, it may be worth it.

Good morning Bella Buds. We have a beautiful morning. Rain coming tomorrow I think. The mowers were here and I loved the smells coming through the open window. Nancy is at the hospital and having the Watchman put in her heart. Have a good day.

I don’t think it is called surgery, but a procedure. They do have to cut small holes in the body for catheters. I have had them go into the groin, but I think they can the hands.

Thanks. It does require being put to sleep and takes 1.5 hours. Neither of us has ever had a problem with anesthesia so it should be ok.
