About the nest
This live sea eagle nest camera is positioned approximately 50 feet above the ground in a eucalyptus tree within a protected nature reserve at Sydney Olympic Park. The nest is home to a pair of White-Bellied Sea Eagles (Haliaeetus leucogaster), one of Australia’s largest native birds of prey.

17:09 Parent brings a small fish. Big claims it.
Then at 17:23, the other parent brings a bird, which Big also claimed. Lil was on the branch and was tugging on the parent’s foot to tell the parent to go down to get some of the food for Lil. The parent flew down and tried to get some of the food, but Big was protecting both food items and beaked at the parent, so the parent went back on the branch.
18:05 the mom flew down and took the few bits of the bird that were left and fed Lil. Then she fed Lil the fish.
18:35 another bird is delivered. Lil is being fed.
Big was being fed also. Lil has a good crop.
The family eating together
They were both at the nest this morning. One was crying for food, most likely Big.
The mom brought a fish at 14:53. No one was there, so she started to eat the fish.
One of them flew in and claimed the fish. I think that it was Lil, because the other one aggressively tried to steal the fish a couple of times, and Big is the aggressive one. Lil ate the whole fish. Big didn’t get any, so Big waited around the nest for a little while, and then flew to a branch near the nest to wait for a food delivery. A little later, Lil flew to the branch to join Big, so they are both waiting there now at 16:50.
Sad to see the nest empty, i have trouble seeing them due to wind & shadows. Mom and Dad stopped my this morning

and then they showed up, ate and now nest is empty. The nest is now the Snack Stand LOL
LOL. They know where they have it good. Thanks, jersey. Didn’t see them in the video after this. Will see what Ranger Judy says when she posts today’s nest update in the chat tomorrow. Hopefully, they were out watching the parents catch a fish or a bird so that they learn what to do to survive.
