You are watching a mating pair of Bald Eagles named M2(male) and F3(female). The nest and PTZ cams are located in a Loblolly pine tree near Kincaid Lake in the Kisatchie National Forest. The cams have been set-up and are maintained by the U.S. Forest service. Nesting usually starts in December followed by egg laying in mid to late January.

Hooray! Gumbo fledged today – canopy cam 16:11:24
Thank you for the update Marynj. These two nest have been through alot and it’s nice to see that they are back breathing life back into the area, not emptiness or sadness.

Did one of the eaglets fledge in nest one? Only see one.
As far as I know, one in both nest has fledged already.
Hello jerseygirl. In the E-1 nest, Roux (the oldest) fledged. Waiting for Gumbo to fledge. In the E-3 nest, Nola (the oldest) fledged. Waiting for Jazz to fledge. Both younger ones have been branching.
E3 nest – Jazz and Nola practiced de-feathering and eating a bird.
E1 nest Mom brought a fish at 18:08. Rhoux was up in the tree. Gumbo was in the nest, so Gumbo claimed it. Rhoux came down after Gumbo claimed the fish. Rhoux was upset that there was no fish for him/her and was biting at the mom’s feet, so the mom left. Rhoux took the fish from Gumbo at 18:40 and ate what was left of the fish, but Gumbo had eaten most of it.
Nola was self feeding while Jazz was being fed by the parent.
