Live Barn Owl Nest Box Cam – Dorset, UK
This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.

We had another hot day of 92 today and sunny, humidity was 60%,, I vacuumed the house moved what furniture that I could and vacuumed behind and under them..that was a job.. I was dripping wet, I didn’t realize the humidity was that high, but I was exhausted, but glad I got it done, tomorrow will mop the kitchen floor, (needs an old fashion cleaning) normally I use swifter pads. Did one load laundry and fold, and put away.. the fumigators worked well… no ants or bugs of any kind are gone, for dinner we had left overs form last… Read more »
Another busy day for you.
A beautiful sight behind your DB’s house. Very impressive indeed.
glad the bugs are gone, those are called the Crosses of Mercy, right? it must be quite a sight, your brother sounds very talented ✞
Interesting! I looked up Crosses of Mercy. Never heard of that before.
You sure are a hard worker!!
Just things that need to be done…
I can procrastinate about all sorts of things that need to be done!
Well, we didn’t have any power outages where we are and I was able to get to my friend/client’s house just fine. But south of us it was a mess. Still a bunch of folks out of power, trees across lots of surface roads, and power lines were down across I-5 stopping traffic in both directions for about 2 hours!! I was able to get all my errands done after meeting with my client – drop off old cable box at cable company, get toner cartridges from Office Depot, go grocery shopping, and pick up a library book on hold… Read more »
Glad you didn’t have power outages, and you were able to get errands done …I still kinda chuckle about you getting locked out.. funny but not funny at the time,, I have a security door key hidden outside as it happen to me a couple times… so I guess we all experienced it ..
Good you did not have loss of power in your area.
Another lovely cool day, only 72; a LOT warmer tomo. Chuck made baked potatoes; i really like the way he fixes them, lines the pan with parchment; cuts the potato length-wise, covers the top with shredded cheddar; then flips them over so the cheesy side is on the bottom; creating crispy cheese. 😋 Afterward, he went into the kitchen to clean up and asked why i didn’t have any of the chicken wings, i didn’t even see ’em. I had slathered the potato with butter, who needs chicken?? Prayers for this little owl-family, stay safe & dry — Love and… Read more »

We have a wind advisory here on the west coast of WA until 5 pm tonight – gusts up to 45 mph. The lights have flickered several times already this morning. Apparently there are outages affecting over 55.000 people in our area right now.
YIKES! Hope you get to keep power; stay safe 🙏
Sounds like our weather. Hope your generator works if power goes out. Be safe.
Both coasts getting coastal storms.
In Honor of Fat Bear Week ↓↓
😁
Good morning. A little sunshine to start off our day. High temperature 72°
Coastal storm forecast has it coming closer to the coast. That means we will have about 2″ of rain over the next few days. Winds about 35/40 mph. Storm is a slow mover. DOS condo in coastal Delaware will have strong winds and flooded streets. His condo is on the third floor. I don’t know if he has renters this week or not. Jersey shore looks bad with very rough surf and wind.
Hope your Friday is a good one. ttfn
let the weekend begin
….
Hold on tight!
Worked on several tax returns today and sent out followup questions. Did a load of sheets (haven’t folded yet). Filled Squirrel feeders. Did a bit of this and that. Started to rain this evening. Temps 53 to 61. As I have mentioned we have seen coyotes around so DSIL decided to use a long leash in the evening rather than letting the dogs (especially the younger more agile one) out loose at night. We have now moved that leash over here. The other day, I was letting the dogs out (on a regular leash this time) at night, and closed… Read more »
Oh my what a night…glad you finally got his attention…good idea to take keys with you…lol..
oh my!!! this made me laugh just picturing it, but I’m sure it wasn’t funny at the time!! even worse, I’ve locked myself out and DH wasn’t home! a few times..
Wow….what an ordeal with getting locked out. 😧 I bet you could have spit nails when DH finally opened the door.😡 “Didn’t you hear me?” (this would be me)
So sorry your hand is bruised. Yes, take your house keys with you.👍
once, ok but twice 😄 (sorry, not sorry)
😁
Oh Chris, what a nightmare; you poor thing; at least DH was home & managed to hear you eventually. {{HUGS}} Now i have to laugh cuz it’s kinda funny that it didn’t happen to me 😄
I need to add that this has happened to him also when I was not at home but it was during the day and the weather was OK. He had his phone and called me and asked where I was, but when he found out I was not home or close to home he did not tell me the problem. Plus, he had access to the ADU to hang out at or use the restroom. This past week is the first time(s) it has ever happened to me.
you guys might have to hide a spare key somewhere 😄
