Talking to sis on on FB PM, she is saying Deena has day surgery today to remove a node, this is the best way for them to know what type Lymphoma she has. Deena had told me it was Friday but the appt. changed to today. Barb said Monday also when I talked to her. All 4 of us talking at different times can get confused.
Feeling bad about the Patriots losing but it has been a phenomenal year! What a come back for the team. Only bright skies ahead it will be great next year.

Good morning After church yesterday I stopped at Walmart for a few things. Rick was busy putting together all our appetizers for the Super Bowl game. I was never into football but after being married for 40+ years it rubs off on you…..so we always watch and make appetizers even if our teams arent playing. I was saying how the drain basket or whatever they are called fits right to fill the sink with water but they never seem to fit right so the water runs out and the food particles dont go down the sink. How upsetting that Rick fell and hurt his knee to the point of bleeding. I hope he’s okay 🙏🏻
I wish the drain stoppers had smaller holes. Like you, I’ve had small food particles go down the drain before. Now I thoroughly wipe our bowls and plates with a paper towel before rinsing them to prevent food from going down the drain.
Rick wipes the bowls out too. I would let smaller food particles go in the garbage disposal but that is gone now.
This drain catcher that we used when we had the disposal works well.

I wipe mine that way too Kathy and Denny will do that also. Does help to keep bits of food from going down the drain.
I’m considering ordering this sink strainer from Amazon. It won’t stop the drain for filling the sink but if I’m only rinsing dishes to go in the dishwasher it should catch any food particles that I might have missed when I wiped the dishes.
Those are like the one i showed you, mine is rubber . If Rick needs to thaw frozen meat then i will put the original sink strainer in.
This one drops down so the water will stay in the sink …..might look into this

Oh poor Rick, I am so sorry he fell that hard. Amazing he did not break or fracture a bone when he fell. I do hope he is not hurting too bad this morning.🙏
We have a garbage disposal but do not use it. Denny puts water down it and turns it on now and then to kind of rinse it.
I only used it for the little pieces and Rick never used it.

sorry that Rick was hurt, hope he’s ok…we don’t have a garbage disposal but put leftover cat food and small things down the drain, DH said that’s ok to do.
It is hard to avoid but the thing I have now takes care of that for the most part.
Good Morning! Following a low overnight of 29, sunshine is expected today with a high of 58. Craig and I enjoyed a relaxing and restful Sunday. We both took naps during the day. We had no interest in the Super Bowl so when not napping we watched some of our favorite YouTube channels. The weather people are saying we have at least another 14 wet days to come and getting much colder by Friday.
What a miserable start to the year nothing but rain and wind so far.😏.
