Good morning Ice,
Your temperatures sure are all over the place! 🙀 Soon you will only have summer breezes, hopefully.
Hi Jenn.
The cloud is beginning roll in now showers expected soon.
I hope we have more consistent warm weather eventually. 😘
It most likely will get more consistent with summer ahead. Sure hope so.😊
Hi Ice
I sure do wish you could send some April showers my way. Unfortunately we are in drought conditions.
Hi Kathy.
Oh that is bad news hope you get some rain soon. 😘
Thanks but unfortunately it doesn’t look promising in the most recent extended forecast.
Good morning Ice
Sorry about the traffic but, the break was nice while it lasted.
Hi Ardy.

Howdy do Lovely Early Bird People 🐦
Got caught up on last week’s TV recordings — and finally finished the Sunday paper 🙄 Weather’s been up/down, windy/not windy; about 81F; accurately schizophrenic for April in Colorado. 😏
Hope everyone had a good Sunday. 🐝
Adopting a clowder of ferals is like being micromanaged by an incompetent ↓↓ 😄
😀 😘
Good afternoon…yesterday we went to a couple stores and to FIL’s house..I showed him pictures and chatted with the caregiver. Today was a special service and meal for our pastor, who will be on sabbatical for a few months….the meal was so good and everyone was encouraged to take home leftovers so I did. It’s been really windy today so we didn’t take the dogs anywhere to walk them but DH played in the yard with them for awhile..then he worked at the cemetery and is now doing some yard cleanup at his dad’s. I’m going to see if there… Read more »

Good morning Yesterday morning was busy for me…..I walked, I colored my hair, then showered, styled my hair and put very little makeup on and went to Walmart, Dollar Tree and the bank to cash my surprise $300 check which will be part of my spending $$ when i go to MN. Rick stood on a step stool in the shed and i brought him a few albums at a time to put back in the wooden crate on the big shelf in the the shed… We had a Dr’s up frozen pizza for supper as Rick wanted to watch… Read more »
Hi Ardy
Gorgeous cactus blooms 💜 How long do the blooms last?
They wilt the next day when the sun hits them so only one day if that. It was cooler and cloudy yesterday so they lasted a little longer
Too bad they don’t last longer.
I agree, they are so pretty
Pretty cactus flowers.💜
How nice you have that ‘bonus’ money to put towards your vacation this summer.😉
I thought so too, saves me from taking it out of my savings
Sunday Blessings! Sunny and 56 going up to 84.
Yesterday I did 3 loads of laundry. I have one more load I need to wash today Monday.
Yesterday Jenn shared her pic of a Clearwing Dragonfly. I saw my first one in July 2021 on the side of our house and I got this pic of it.
Morning Kathy
This is an interesting Dragonfly!! Thanks for posting.
When I first saw this I had no idea what it was called. Google Lens helped me to identify it.
Wow Kathy, that is a much clearer picture than my picture was. Now I know it is called a ‘Clearwing Dragonfly’.
Very unique.♥
Isn’t it amazing? God’s creations are awesome 😊
😘
Good morning, Yesterday went up to low 80’s and today will be the same. Very warm with some humidity. The smoke smell disappeared into the afternoon, thankfully, There was a fire in Myrtle Beach that caused it. A busy packing day. I tried a new recipe that was not so good. I had left over mashed potato and had seen a recipe for making potato patties by putting an egg and a little flour in it then cooking the patties in the air fryer. I thought they had an odd taste and Denny didn’t really care for them. I like… Read more »
I always loved Forsythia, it was one of the first shrubs to bloom in the Spring in Maine. I used to cut branches and keep them in water. Also pussy willow I would put in a floor vase. 😊
I took this pic yesterday of the mesquite trees in the hood in bloom
Pretty 🤍 I don’t think I’d ever seen a pic of a mesquite tree in bloom.
We dont have one but the neighborhood has quite a few I see when i walk
Pretty picture Ardy, I have not heard of that type of tree before.
They grow in the desert.
Mesquite trees are highly drought-tolerant, nitrogen-fixing legumes that primarily grow in arid and semi-arid regions of North America, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. They thrive in the Southwestern U.S. (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California) and Mexico, typically in desert plains, grasslands, and along dry washes
My sister Nancy who lives in Hawley, Texas (near Abilene) has some in her yard.
😄
Forsythia is one of the first things to bloom in our yard each Spring too. I think it’s so pretty 💛
I am not familiar with them so googled…………..Location: They are commonly found in, and perfectly suited for, sunny spots in residential landscapes throughout the Midwest, East Coast, and Pacific Northwes
Hi Jenn
I think all my mom did was form the mashed potatoes and fry them in a skillet. I find new recipes for Rick and many we never make again and some we do.
That is how I have always made them too Ardy, just made the potato into a patty and fried them. The added egg and flour made to potato yucky I thought. Well, I won’t try that again.😏
