Good morning, We are going into very hot weather, by tomorrow through the weekend it will hit the low 90’s! We went to Sketchers yesterday, Denny was looking for a new pair of sneakers. He found some he liked but they did not have his size. We made a couple other stops then back home for the Termite inspector guy who has to come when buying/ selling a home. We were coming back from a walk with Danny yesterday morning and our two neighbors, Kay and Marge, were outside and came down to talk to us. They wanted to look… Read more »

Oh that would do it for me I hate snakes and wary of big spiders. 😟
That is a beautiful rose bush lovely colour hope it has a scent as well.
It is too scary really Ardy. When I realized last Spring they were here in the community it was a big concern.
We have seen on our FB here that a few others are reporting them curled up under a shrub by their door or in the
sun by their doors. Sadly, the smakes are suffering just like the deer and rabbits all around here, the loss of their
natural habitat from the destruction of all the woods that were here.
There is a nice scent from the roses when you are near them. I love it.
You have to feel bad for all the animals losing their homes but scary for Danny and you!!!
I do feel bad but I feel kind of scared with the snakes.
Hi Jenn
You will be hotter than us. we will be in the 80’s. Yikes on the snakes!! Black widows dont bother me but Rick always kills them.
I don’t think I have seen one before and would be perfectly happy if I do not see one ever!😌
Very pretty roses, glad you get to enjoy them before leaving.
Hi Jenn
Perhaps Denny can order the Skechers he liked from their website… skechers.com
Oh my dear! Copperheads are scary so I know you’ll be glad once moving day gets here in 9 more days (if I remember correctly).
What stunning looking roses 😍
that would be scary! I buy Skechers but didn’t even know there were Skechers stores, or just didn’t think of that.
We have a Skechers store not far from us.
Denny did go back to the store and took a picture of the sneaker and the number or name on the box then he came home
and ordered them online. 😉
We are really enjoying the roses, they have a light lovely scent and so pretty.💛
I’m so glad Denny ordered the shoes he wanted 😀
Good morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
A cool night once again but it is sunny this morning.
Showers expected again this afternoon.
At least it will be dry for our shopping trip this morning.
Hope they have some Pretzels today.
Time for a coffee first before we set off.
Catch you all soon. 😀 😘
Good morning Ice,
I sure hope they had the pretzels today, two weeks is too long for you to have had to go without them! 🥨
We need showers here but none in sight for another full week. All of South Carolina is under a bad drought not good for this
time of year.
Hi Jenn.
A successful shop, Pretzels galore.lol.
Knees just about survived again.
Is that unusual for Carolina. I always thought it was quite a wet state. 😘
YAY! you have the pretzels today.🤗
This is very unusual for the drought they say Ice. I just found this info to show how bad it is. Could be bad fires which is scary.
Yes, the current drought in South Carolina as of April 2026 is highly unusual and historic. It follows the driest September-to-March period in 131 years of record-keeping, with moderate drought conditions declared for all 46 counties and severe-to-extreme conditions in some areas
Hi Jenn.
Well out of it, I take it Maine is completely different.
Morning Ice
Did you get your pretzel?
Yep enjoyed every mouthful.lol. 😘
Oh good!!!! You should of bought an extra one!!!
Hi Ice
So happy to know they had your favorite Pretzel 🥨 treat this morning 😀😘
Hi Kathy.
Made the shopping trip more tolerable and it was nice and chewy. 😀 😘
Think this ‘snack’ was on offer at the Masters? ↓↓
😂 😘
Morning…….I am either late or you guys are early. Yesterday after church I went to JCP when they opened at 11:00. The store is packed full of clothes and I still saw some of the same style tops from 2 years ago. I didnt see many capris at all?? So i took a few tops to be tried on…seems the L was tight and the XL was big on me. They had these light “sweaters” for $5.49 so I bought three thinking they would be good to wear in our cold house in the winter. Three different colors and all… Read more »
Hi Ardy,
Maybe it has to do with the time change we had in March that we are not on at the same times?
I kind of like a loose fitting sweater, I like the one you have on in the picture.
That is why I like to try on clothing before buying rather than order online. Even the same size can be a different fit.
The one i have on in the picture is a blouse ….the picture that is the first post but it was navy and needed black but it looked a little sloppy on me.
The other two are the cheap sweaters to wear in the house this winter, since our house is so cold.
the first one, when I click on it, makes my eyes go a little funny…but the sweaters will be nice for when it’s cooler/cold
Good Morning! Sunny and 60 going up to 83.
I didn’t rest well last night so I might need to nap after I run my errands this morning.
Last summer Craig planted some Orange Rocket Barberry shrubs. I noticed some very small flowers last week and took this pic.
Hi Kathy,
Very pretty Barberry shrub. 🧡
I am sorry you did not sleep well, I hope you can get a nap in later.
Thank you 💜
Hi Kathy
Pretty little flowers …very pretty color shrub.
Hi Kathy.
Everyone deserves a nap at times.lol.
A very pretty plant there. 😀 😘
Good morning, 59 degrees going up to 80. Yesterday was so nice, sunny with a slightly cool breeze. I took a long walk in the afternoon and sat on a bench by the lake and watched ducks diving for awhile. I do love the lake here and have enjoyed it with the ducks and swans and turtles with their little heads peeking up in the water. I went to Walmart in the morning and it was mobbed with people, Sunday busy with families and just the population here is exploding. The new Amazon warehouse just up from us is opening… Read more »
Hi Jenn
I know you will miss the lovely lake after you move back home to Maine but not all of the traffic.
Yes, I will miss some things for sure.
Forgot to say Isabel had her last day of her first year of college yesterday! Seems it went so fast but I’m sure not the same for her. 😃
Wow!! Freshman year all done for Isabel.
Yes, she is free for the summer, living at home and having her mom chef make her favorite foods and being with her Guinea Pig. She lost one Guinea Pig this winter but she was home for Christmas when it happened and she was with her parents when they had to take her in to be put to sleep. They are going to look for a new baby I think, she loves her ‘piggies’ and Gabe has really taken to them too. 😀
Leakana is not really a chef, she works in architectural design. It is just that Isabel gets her to make dishes she loves and Lea is always willing to cook her favorites.
😘
Hi Jenn
Gosh done with her first year!!! She really grew up fast since I met you.
Nice she will be hoe for the summer. Sorry she lost a guinea pig…what is their life span?
Life span is about 5-7 years. She had one that lived to 7 years, that was her first one Caramel. Then she got two baby sisters and still has one of them, she is about 6 or 7 years now.
