60 going up to 81 today, low humidity, perfect summer day. 😊
We did not get to the parade, the traffic getting close was heavy we decided to go around the town and into Rockland. We did some errands and got breakfast out. Home by early afternoon and just relaxed.

Good Sunday morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. Another humid night difficult to sleep and we have more of the same to come next week. Could see it nudging 90F on a couple of days.🙄. Really not cut out for these temps. A cloudy morning but up to 80F just for starters and getting hotter from there. Will be a fresher trip for the paper early on at 7-00 just 65F at the moment. Been watching ABC all day; now the local news is broadcasting from a place called Banning Lewis Ranch in Colo Spgs where there are music stages, volleyball, food trucks, grills and hundreds of families/kids. Several of the kids squirted silly string all over the reporter. 😂 He just kept on reporting; a true professional. Another reporter served a volleyball using the microphone. 😂 Live reporting can be so much fun. The weather’s perfect for them; 75 with cloud cover.
Watching the Livestream of the parade in La Junta; the floats have super-soakers to keep the attendees cool and the attendees have super-soakers to keep folks on the floats cool. Now that’s the way small towns do parades in the searing heat 😎
Good morning, Sunny and 78 going up to 86. We had a super fun time with Gabe and family and Damion came over for awhile. We were outside while Denny cooked on the grill and we ate at the patio table but then moved inside, it was pretty hot. They stayed until early evening, it was so good to be together.💕 Tomorrow we are back to normal temperatures and this 3 day heat wave behind us. Rick made bean soup yesterday but I really dont care for bean soup.

A sticky night again but a cloudy start to the day with some drizzle but that will soon be gone.
A high of 76F today and gradually getting hotter from Sunday back into the high 80F range.
Still no sign of any rain to come yet sorely needed now.Up early again at 5-30 getting used to this time now.lol.
Off for the paper and an drive down the bypass to see if the road works are finished.

Glad to know the roadwork is completed now. The one impacting me has been going on for weeks and I’m not sure how much longer the work is expected to last.
