More of the same last night and for some days to come in the upper 80F range for at least the next 10 Days.
An Amber alert out today we could see 90F for the next two days.
Very little cooling breeze today making it feel even hotter.
A very high pollen count again today.🙄.
Just cleaned out the bird baths getting well used at the moment especially by the Sea Gull who loves to have a paddle.lol.
Time for a coffee and sticks now.

Rick has to fill the bird water bowls all day long as the pigeons get in them to bathe and then knock them over.

Site is very slow today taking an age for ot to load.
86F at the moment with no cooling breeze.
Had to shut my window as they came to mow the green and there was clouds of dust and pollen could smell it in my room here, made my eyes run😘

I accomplished more purging yesterday and found additional items to add to my next donations to Matthews Help Center. I’ve been coming across some things that I don’t remember buying 😂
This morning after breakfast I need to go to the grocery store before the hottest of the day.

I save so many cards from people…..do you save cards? I rarely look at them but have a hard tie throwing them out..I have boxes of them…not big boxes tho.
I used to save cards but I have already purged the majority of them. I only chose a few extra special ones to hold onto for now. The ones I still have fit into one small box.
I have save special ones and every cat and flamingo cards, some Christmas….one day i should go through them.

We had a beautiful Crape Myrtle in front of the house when we moved in June 2024. It started turning black and was dead within a month, so sad.

Good morning, Yesterday was the 1st anniversary of sis Barb’s son, Travis, passing. I remembered and wanted to get her out if she would. I called her early and asked if she wanted to go to Marden’s, a discount store with loads of material from quilt shops and clothing, tools, everything. She was crying when I called and said she would just love to go with us. It is about an hour away and we stopped for coffees and donuts on the way up and stopped at McDonalds ( her choice ) on the way back. We had a lot… Read more »

I had a Big Mack it was pretty good but I had the sauce all over my face and Barb laughing so hard sitting across from me. It fell apart half way through I didn’t eat it all.😀

Thank you Kathy, we were happy we got her out seeing how sad she was just home alone crying. She is strong but anniversaries and certain things remind us of our terrible losses.💔

I got my haircut yesterday morning. It is good I went two weeks early ….i asked her to take it a tad shorter and i wonder if i can curl it today? But in two weeks it should be about right.
Our thermometer said 110° yesterday…another hot one today of 107° or so the next couple days.
I did some laundry. Rick made another tomato pie…..cleaning this morning. It is 430 am and 82°…the house is warm, very warm outside.
The moon was pretty earlier.

I hope you can curl it Ardy. I had that horrible cut last October in S. Carolina and it took 4 months before I got a trim, it was that short.
Good morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. Another humid night under the duvet cover. Lordy, beginning to sound like my needle is stuck on my record player.lol. Temp climbing to 84F today we shall reach 90F plus by Thursday then more of the same into the following week. Locally very high pollen counts once again weed pollen and grass pollen, The Green has not been cut for week so the grass is very thick and and throwing off lots of pollen in the breeze. I remember that well, the local river in flood very often rain after rain and now look at it you just cannot win.lol.
I did have my Pretzel though.
I just seen on my tracker for the cool blanket that it has left the Chinese airport today.
Goodness knows how long they take to get here,😘 might be complaining about the rain by than.lol.
At least it is leaving an airport and not ‘the slow boat to China’ we used to say was delivering something that took forever..lol

Watched Belgium vs U.S.A. — US didn’t play like they’re capable of and Belgium took advantage. 🏐 Finally got the new thermostat installed. Nice man, but Lordy, he was having a bad morning. Got here at 8.30; supposed to be here at 9a; lucky I was up! Then discovered he forgot the small screwdriver he’d need. Had to go home to get it (I couldn’t find mine); then couldn’t find his phone and had to call his granddaughter to ping it; it was in the field he’d been working in earlier. Speaking of bears…..JoAnn and Mike had a bear come through yesterday and knocked down and bent one of the bird feeders and was in the neighbors garage so doubtful I will be walking………I am bummed about that, I planned on walking down their lane in the woods

Went to church like usual. Our new associate minister started yesterday. A17 year old boy was walking up to our church and asked exactly where the sanctuary was. He told me he was checking out different churches this summer so, we chatted on our way in. Such a nice young man.
I stopped by WM and bought the rugs I thought about buying the day before.
