Another 100 degree day, along with some serious humidity. Poor Chuck was melting while trying to get his car over to Discount Tire so they could remove a large bolt from one of the tires & get it patched up 🙄 Rick’s hanging in there, very slow improvement; waiting on insurance approval to start OT/PT. It’s across the street from where he’s at now. Good Morning! Cloudy, humid and 78 going up to 82. Lots of rain is in our forecast but it hasn’t started yet where we are.
I hope to go to Harris Teeter this morning for Senior Discount Day.
The other day after I realized I shouldn’t use the air fryer for making pizzas I baked it in the regular oven. Here’s a pic of my oven baked 6″ cheese pizza. It was so good 😋

Our rain finally got serious after dark this evening. We now have over 2.5″ in the rain gauge. It’s still raining at 8:50 PM with more expected until around midnight.
Thankfully I did have a successful trip to Harris Teeter and was able to get what we needed 💜

Good morning, Sunny, 63 degrees going up to 77. I did a lot of ironing yesterday and pretty much relaxed in the afternoon. A metal small shed Denny ordered is arriving today. That means us putting it together, another project with lots of screws! He needed a cover to put over the water pump and plumbing that we had moved outside and this will be easier than building a wooden structure over it. They have called for drought conditions in the South of the country but ok in my bit at the moment.
They are already warning on veg shortage especially potatoes.

I feel your pain regarding lack of rain. We’ve actually already lost some of the new plants Craig planted this year 😞 Some have survived thus far but not all of them. Supposedly we’re going to get a decent amount of rain today. Time will tell…

Another little update on Rick:
He’s still pretty confused, but was able to get to the bathroom using the walker; even knew what he what he went in there for 😉 And he knew exactly what meds he is supposed to take and how many; both habits of a lifetime.
