Had to put my summer cardigan on yesterday as it was so cool in the house now. Will not need that at least for this week as we are back in the 70F range until the end of the week when we will be in the 60F range with some rain at last hopefully. Good Saturday Afternoon! Cloudy and 76 going up to 87. Yesterday afternoon around 4 PM a very strong thunderstorm came through Charlotte and surrounding areas. Craig gets off work at 4:00 and he had to delay going to his car because of the heavy rain and high winds. Before he left the parking lot Craig learned that the school where he worked had lost power. He had to take numerous detours on the way way home because of downed trees. We were most fortunate and thankful that we never lost power at our house nor did we lose anymore tree… Read more »

Yesterday was a 10 of a day, just beautiful. I did the food prep in the morning and enjoyed being out reading and relaxing in the afternoon.
Denny had a good time at the automobile car auction.
We are leaving early going down to Brunswick.
Just read about another recall of salad, this time sprouts not lettuce and the next thing I saw was this.

Yesterday was 106°, It will be 107° today and they are saying it will be 105+ for the next ten days!!!
I baked a box Angel food confetti cake for Ricks birthday today. Then I made a 7 minute frosting for the cake.
It is Yummy.
We had a salad for supper last night.
We are going to South Tucson for Mexican food with Zura and Fred today.

A lovely cool night and a lovely sunny morning temp at 7-00 just 55F rising today to just 70F now that is much more comfortable.
Temps next week will be in the mid 70F range might be some rain towards the end of the week.
We have not had enough rain yet to make any difference
Still has that scorched look but at least the weeds are green.lol.

I think it will take a long time to get rid of your drought. We have had little rain July and now August and we just read we are in a bad drought here. It was the same last summer. We have a dug well and worry about it going dry but at least we have the apartment if that happens we can go there sooner than planned. Hope it won’t happen though.

Hope you get some real rain there and I hope we do get some real rain next week, the forecast looks promising for some proper rain, but we have been disappointed before.
