Good Morning! Cloudy, tropically humid and 75 going up to 88 with a chance for afternoon thunderstorms. Yesterday I did more purging. This time I was in our disheveled home office. I focused on the area where I stored some old birthday and holiday cards we had received through the years. Some were quite old. I still have more to sort through and I hope to tackle that today. I just finished washing a load of towels that now need to go into the dryer. Here’s a mainly silhouette pic from 2 days ago of a juvie that’s one of… Read more »

Aww, such a cutie with the mohawk feather-do.🥰
I hope you did not get any thunder storms this afternoon.
Your doing well with purging Kathy, it isn’t easy to let some things go that have sentimental value.💜

Forgot I did do something yesterday, I made a pot of applesauce.😀
I bought a bag of the first local apples the other day. I washed a couple and Denny and I bit into them and they were super sour!. Until a good frost at night the apples do not get too sweet. I decided to make applesauce with plenty of sugar it is really tasty. 😘

Good morning,
61 going up to 78, a little fog burning off to a sunny day.
Yesterday was beautiful out, I relaxed most of the day outside reading.
We had hamburgers on the grill.
I need to get some errands done today.

We had a fun call from our friend in S. Carolina, Joe. He was on speaker and Denny and I had just sat down on our deck after he was mowing. Joe bought a new home where he owns his own piece of land, it is in a development. He just finished moving all his stuff there. He did not get the 5 acres of farmland he intended but he has a big back yard for Lynn to have her garden. His one daughter who lives with him is moving with him and the other daughter with boyfriend is going… Read more »

Lynn had to go just this week to the interview for her Green Card and she had an hour of tough questions he was right there with her. She was so scared but she got through it and has her card now. It is for 2 years then she goes back for a 10 year one which at that point she can apply for citizenship.
In the Philippines many family members live in the same home and she wants his daughters to stay together.

Yes many cultures live together so if the kids are willing as they are then that works for everyone.

Yes it works if the kids are willing. I hope it does work out but with young people they might have a change of plans.

Hi Jenn
I love that y’all got to have a good phone conversation with Joe yesterday 🥰 That’s so great about the new home he bought that has a decent amount of land for Lynn to have a garden. How special that Joe’s dayghters will be living there as well 💕 Did they sell their other house in the community where you and Denny used to live?

Good morning~~~~I gave myself a pedi yesterday and polished my toenails and applied fingernails….the house is pretty warm so it was hard to apply them and they were soft from the heat and hard to apply. We had an official high of 108°, broke a record for this time of the year and our thermometer said 114° in the shade.
Rick made chicken parm for supper.

Pretty moon picture Ardy.
Amazing your manicure fingernails were melting from the heat. I could not handle those temperatures especially day after day.
I pity the wildlife outside in those temperatures. 😌

Not really melting, just real soft.
In the winter they are almost too stiff at times making them harder to apply.

My face lotion in the medicine chest is on the wall in our bathroom and the brick wall is behind it and my lotions soften.

I didn’t mean to laugh but that did sound funny. I’m sorry when you pay good money for them and cannot apply easily.
I can see how the intense heat can affect the products. 😬

Some nails are softer to begin with, depends on the nail. I usually buy glitter nails and they are easier to apply.
It is just extremely hot right now, broke a record…………..you can laugh😁

Good morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. A very humid night again and was woken at 5-00 by a flash of lightning a peel of thunder a short shower and that was that.🙄. Two hours later at 7-00 the ground has already dried up and left a very humid atmosphere, not a breath of wind yet. We will be wet one day.lol. We juswt might get a shower or two as the week goes on but no real rain about down South. They are having floods in the Midlands and North of the country now. Terrible news from the… Read more »

Hi ice, no rain here but I got excited the other day when we had a few spots but I love it and I dread the Winter coming !
With workmen drilling and banging in the adjoining house all day its good to get out in the garden for a bit of peace as after awhile it makes one feel ill ! If I could go out I’d be off out somewhere but such is life! 😜

Hi Beryl,
Crying out for some rain here the Green is no longer green just a scorched look now.
I hope you soon get some peace and quiet, I hate it when my neighbour decides to do some DIY.
Being semi detached the sound of drilling comes through the adjoining wall,🙄😘

Its not neighbours, my much loved neighbour died a couple of months ago and Sanctuary who own the houses are doing it all up for new tenants and they seem to be pulling everything apart , he must have been there for 50yrs so I guess it needs a bit of work and to top it all they found asbestos in the outside shed and toilet so its been a laugh, NOT !
