Good morning
We had another wave of rain while I was in church yesterday.I stopped at the WM neighborhood market and then saw these cute Halloween paintings on a Veterinarian’s office so I had to take pictures of them. Rick grilled ribs for supper.
Today I am going to make the batter for Yorkshire pudding which is very similar to the popovers I make. I have to let the batter set in the fridge for at least a night.

I had to look them up, they sound good. Says the oven has to be heated very hot with fat for them to ‘pop’ up

I found a recipe that seems pretty easy.

Ardyth ~ Tucson

Yorkshire pudding uses beef drippings, lard, shortening, or vegetable oil where popovers doesnt

Beryl

Good morning,
50 degrees going up to 68 and sunny.
Denny just leaving, he is meeting Damion to help move the big deck table into the shed. He invited him to meet for breakfast in Waldoboro before they go over to the camp.
I had a relaxing Sunday, I enjoyed making an apple pie and it was tasty.😘

Still have a half a pie left Ice, wish you could have a big slice.😊
I went to the garage where Denny was working yesterday hanging a light in there, to tell him the pie was ready. Our neighbor Ray, the WW2 veteran, was in with Denny. Every time he sees Denny in there he heads over. Loves to talk with him. I asked him to join us for a slice of pie or he could have a slice so Denny took him one over. Hope he liked it.

Not yet but the day is young yet…LOL
He is lonely his wife died not long ago. Denny is really good listening to his stories. He is 93 and sharp as can be.
His garage is right next to ours and he now plays a trick when Denny is inside working around he starts putting up his garage door up and down and up to confuse Denny…lol

Hi everyone! We’re fine and only got rain and wind from the remnants of Isaias. My ‘weather body’ was affected by the weather when it was here over the past few days which caused me to have headaches, fatigue and some body aches.

Prayers for all those in the paths of the active Tornado Warnings currently East of Raleigh in North Carolina. Lauren is under a Tornado Watch until 5:00 PM.

I have to shower in 15-20 minutes. I just wanted to say my restless legs are so bad that I cannot put my laptop on my lap and type because I can’t sit still. I have to take my pills and I hope they kick in before church. This is such a miserable condition. I hope everybody has a great day

Good morning, We had an unexpected fun day yesterday, around 10am we had a text from Leakana that she and Isabel were coming to Brunswick to go to Elevenses restaurant and did we want to meet them. Texted right back YES, SEE YOU THERE! We had the best time, the food and drink so good. Denny and I had big round pumpkin mugs and and the girls had glass mugs with fancy coffees. After I went with them to a huge vintage/antique store in a big brick building. They had so much stuff it was crazy. Then they came back… Read more »

Denny had this corned beef sandwich with a hot sauce and he loved it. All our food was yummy. Denny had the sandwich in the picture with corned beef and the girls both had corned beef with sauce and eggs. This is their description: Who We Are At Elevenses, we pride ourselves on our artisanal approach to food and drinks.
