Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I’m back inside was working out front cutting down small trees that have come up, most are mulberry and I wish I could leave one to grow but there’s just no room for a tree out there so twice a year I cut them down in the spring and at the end of summer. Had Jade out and she went for a walk to say Hi to my next door neighbors they are Jay and Janie then I named my cat Jade🤔 there must of been a theme in my head😂
Mulberry trees have been banned in Tucson.
They sure spread fast but I love eating mulberries they are so good😋
They werent native to AZ and they were an allergan.
