Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Morning We couldnt see the moon for the eclipse, too cloudy but I got some pictures this morning. I really wanted to give Nikki a bath and trim but I injured my knee on the right side and my back hurts from yesterday. It hurts to walk. Good morning Ardy. So you injured yourself getting up from a low stool. I can relate to that. When I got my first Covid vaccine I injured myself trying to get up from a straight backed chair with no arm rests. That resulted in bleeding, bruising and a short hospital stay. Of course I was heavier then and on a blood thinner, not in the best of health.
Yes the stool is low and i wished Rick had been home to pull me up.

I saw some of the moon last night, I say some because the tree branches were in the way. But could get a peek at the moon changing with the eclipse

Good morning Bella Buds, pretty day today. I was reluctant to get up this morning, but I did, caught up on the dishes, got my coffee. Yesterday was a long day but it is done. We don’t have a surgery date but should hear in a week or yes. We will have to make 2 consecutive trips to Lexington. Surgery, then check everything the next day. Urg. Good Morning Debbie😍you fit a lot in yesteday😘so Jo’s all set just need the date. I suppose just numbing the area Is just less recovery time ,is faster to do. Less evasive recovery time faster. Wish you could stay there for the next day check on her eye, it would be stay over night eye check then on your way home the next day. I don’t know how you would do that with Casey? Macie would be fine till the next day.
Yes Casey is the big problem. I told Jo I miss the RV. In this situation we could have packed up the essentials and camped in Lexington, probably the Kentucky Horse Park. We could have gone the day before the surgery and spent the night, then go into the hospital the next day. Spent a second night, then go in for the checkup. We could then either go home, or spent a third night. Oh well, sometimes we have to go with the flow. In all the 38 years we have owned him, he has never spent a single night… Read more »
I just thought staying the night after the surgery so your there for the eye check and if they can do the eye check in the morning, you could be home around the time you get Casey up? you could leave snacks for him and a radio on, he wouldn’t be alone for that long
It would be easier for us but I imagine we will just make two trips.
Yes 2 trips sleep in your own bed is always a good thing, you will do what you have to and it always works out😘
Good night Bella Buds. I was so tired when I got home, kept nodding off, not really sleeping. About time for me to get ready for bed. I’m glad Pam had a safe trip but she was wiped out too! The troops will get replenished tomorrow with the arrival of Kitty.
