Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The YouTube watching doesn’t happen too often, only when it’s something I really have to see right away! And then sometimes, I just can’t sleep and have to get up and do something or other.

what caused the mess?
Someone spilled something all over the burner and then it sank down into the burner pan underneath, and I didn’t know about it, and then it was cooked on again and it burnt on there really well that time. I’ll let you guess who done it.
I didn’t know Dutchess cooked.

That could end up being even worse. I would probably find it everywhere then. All over the sink, all over the countertops, paper towels galore in the trash can, etc. Not the most careful artist.
