Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good evening! I made a few comments below as I was reading chat. Not many though. Julie, I would be so upset, no, correct that — I AM so upset about your flowers, bushes, trees being cut down. They had no right to do that. Hi Debbie. 🤗 Oh, it was so good!! Sausage, scrambled and fried eggs, pancakes with syrup! I have leftovers. I have been watching and learning more about the plight of Orangutans. I hope we can save them and cut down on the love of palm oil to help save/re-grow their habitat. If i were 25 again, I would be in Sumatra or Borneo, helping them out. But . . . There are a lot of groups helping out.

Debbie, they are not only cute, especially the babies, but they are so smart. If they get a wound, they know exactly what leaf to find and how to turn that leaf into a salve, put it on the wound and heal themselves. The babies stick with their Moms for 6-8 years to learn all this stuff. They are very amazing. Okay, I am done with that for now. 😂

They are doing the garage roof too-the house is done, I called Bruce to let him know about the garage roof and he said its not in his contract🤔 so its a free bee?
That is good.
The garage roof was done 5 years ago so it was Farley new. But there was hail damage to it, I saw the pictures from the guy who did the inspections
I still wish we could have gotten a new one after the tornado..DH just patches it up sometimes, all he has time to do.

This was for baseball size hail that damaged the roofs They hail made dents in the shingles and that’s where leaks can start everyone kept asking if the roofs were leaking? and I said not yet😂 insurance is paying for the roofs Bruce had to have his house roof replaced to for the 2 houses it cost him $8,00.00 dollars so $4,000.00 a piece. Bruce decided to have the roofs done. The house roof here really needed a new roof they counted and there was 5 layers of shingles on it🙄
I think 5 layers of shingles is against most codes. Bruce paid $8000 or insurance?
Insurance paid part his deductable is what he paid
The Allens’s hummers sure are more peaceful than the Ruby’s.

I thought she just didn’t come back or wasn’t seen again. They only live 3-5 years, with Allen’s being short lived. The Ruby throat humming bird is one of the longest lived American hummers

Today was the day that Hormel came out with their new flavor of Spam. It is hot Honey Spam. Normally pair up with Walmart and you can buy it at Walmart or online anyway but not this time. I went to the spam site the official site where I order things from and it’s $6 a can which is doable but they want almost $8 for shipping and I refuse to do that. I have hot honey that I use as a condonment, I would just get regular spam and put honey on it. I wouldn’t spend $6 on a can of spam myself but I know your a collector😘

Good afternoon i’ve a busy day so far. I went and had my teeth cleaned at 7:10. Then I came home for half hour and then I drove up to Walmart found a new rug for the living room like I do about every 5 to 6 months. Then I picked up my new glasses. I can see long distance just fine but it’s up close that there’s something wrong
I think that is the usual problem with progressive lens.
Yes I can certainly understand how it happened But I’ve never had this happen before. Like I said Chance was looking at the glasses I was wearing when I went in and notice that something in progressive lens was let’s say the number was 26 and the the guy that gave me the itest said it was 25 so Chance said he went and told the guy to change it because they wouldn’t be right Maybe the guy knew what he was talking about because they’re not right now I’m just not happy because I have to go back again… Read more »

I’m sorry Ardy what a pain.
I am going to wear both pairs off and on for a couple of days and see if maybe my eyes just need to adjust to new glasses and new progressive lens
That makes sense to wear them to see if your eyes adjust but if the prescription isn’t right your eyes won’t get used to it, might cause a eye strain or give you a headache

You have to get use to bifocals even with progressive, I got bifocals because the progressive take longer to get used to
I had progressive for many years.
I was told by my eye doctor that progressives are harder to get used to it also depends on the eye glasses style like the frame my frames can’t do progressive because of the size of the lens- its cat eye style and that makes the lens narrow
I have had them for many years!! That is why i think something is wrong, I havent had problems in the past.

Hi Ardyth. I have had progressive for 20 years and I really like them. But they do have to be exact. I hope you can get it straight quickly. Can’t you wear your old ones until they get the new ones corrected?
