Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Julie: Good day to you and bellas
Good morning! Well let’s see. Rick and I both had to do blood this morning for our appointments with Julie. We had appointments at 7:30 and 7:45 and we left home at 7:15 and we were out of there at 7:33 so that was good. But the bad news is Rick did not get the newspaper delivered yesterday and he did not get the newspaper delivered today. We pay $1,200 a year for this paper. So he made a phone call at 7:30 saying he hadn’t gotten a paper and he got a recording saying it was too late to… Read more »
Hope you both get good lab results. That was fast! I have to go get lab done tomorrow for high calcium, I hope it is down. Good grief on the cost of that newspaper, that is expensive, but I guess back when I got a newspaper it was that much too if I added it up. You should get better service. But I suppose things will return to normal after the holidays but that is NO EXCUSE. Also, sounds like they were rude to Rick. They should have been apologetic. So did the bugs damage the nightgowns? Or are you… Read more »
No not grossed out.I I am used to seeing those every once in awhile and they were just dead little shells so I washed a few things that were on the bottom.
Good morning Bella Buds and a good day hopefully to you. Our temperature dropped 40 degrees over night. Burrrr. I won’t be going outside! I have plenty to do right here. I never have anything to say in the mornings cause I post everything I want to say all day long. So I slept. Had a dream that woke me up! Now I’m here! 😁. Enjoy your day.
Julie: Gm wow!
winter wonderland❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Good morning Ardy.
Good night everyone. Hope you all have a great night’s sleep and good morning. ♥️🤗
Good night Karen, love you.
I think everyone is gone, and it is my time too. Good night to all my buddies here and to any peepers also. Hugs and a good night to all. 🥰♥️
Time for my continuing saga, I must tell you about my refrigerator experience today. I got up late today, even though I fell asleep early last night. Found that hubby had cleaned out the kitchen fridge, as it had been very full, with normal stuff and then Christmas food. I have told him many times that when he’s doing that, he cannot keep the refrigerator door open, as the unit was over 40 years old, and that could wear the compressor out. Obviously, he did not heed my warning, as now I can only get the fridge temp to go… Read more »
Oh nooooooooo, why can’t men just leave stuff alone ??? for Five dammed minutes.
Exactly! I don’t even know what to say to him anymore. I’ll have to start drawing pictures and putting them up everywhere for a while, I guess.
is his diabetes under control?
All of his stuff is under control, he just doesn’t listen or pay attention.
I’m sorry Karen. I really am. Is the fridge actually running? Maybe it will stabilize over night. Probably too old to be fixed. Parts are hard to come by.
Thank you Debbie. The fridge is running, and keeping at 50 degrees. I will see what happens tonight but I’m not very optimistic. I will call to see if it can be fixed. It is a GE brand and it has been great.
I know how you feel Karen.
Thanks. 😥
Oh Karen NO. What was he trying to do, throw away expired food or old food? Oh and you are loosing more food, expensive food! Good grief, first the freezer, now the refrigerator. Can any food be saved by putting it in the freezer? I guess it is too late for that. I’m so sorry you are having to deal with this. You finally get a good night’s sleep and get up to this.
Thanks Debbie. I just wish he would listen and pay attention. In one ear and out the other. And then I get accused of b—–ing at him all the time. Arg . . . .!!
Seems he would know not to leave a fridge door open.
Especially since I’ve pointed it out to him many times over the years. I don’t know what his problem is. And he doesn’t ever have any answers. Just ignores it.
Sell his prized possession to buy a new fridge!
😂🤣 His cell phone, maybe some nice jackets and radios. That’s about it. Might make a dent though.
😁
Karen did your husband go take his nap this morning and leave the fridge door open?
No. He took his nap after I got up. I could hear him downstairs moving around off and on.
