Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I’m back. Opened up freezer thinking I’d defrost some kale from my garden and add to white beans. There on top was a Connie’s brand pizza. The pizza won🙂 Who wants kale anyway New Year’s Eve😁 Then I shoveled snow around porch and front of garage given we had more snow after my helper guy shoveled earlier. Good grief it is cold out. Sent Julie an email, washed some dishes. Now going to scroll and see who is still on and read through comments. 10:40p here. Just heard two fireworks, otherwise quiet.
Pizza does sound better for NewYear’s! We have been watching Nashville but put it on CNN for the ball drop. They didn’t show the ball very well I thought, but I enjoyed Frank Sinatra singing New York!
Yes to pizza🙂 I couldn’t find Nashville. I don’t get all the options I hd with cable but found a Minnesota channel that is showing Times Square. Yes, got to hear Frank. Agree about the ball. I heard this year there would be two but just saw one. Are you getting ready to go to bed?🙂
I’m about ready to transition to my bed, brushing teeth and potty on the way. But I’ll probably stay awake until midnight CT.

Its 7:30 and fireworks going off….Roger is freaked out and so is Nikki, dont know where Michi is.
Be sure Michi is in the house. I’m so sorry for the babies. It is so hard on them. Gabi had trouble with fireworks too. Her balcony and car are covered with soot from fireworks. Her neighbors are awful. No respect or consideration.

Not much fun will happen on CNN now til the ball gets ready in Times Square. The music they’re showcasing isn’t to my taste.
Honestly, it is seldom my taste. I enjoy watching them talk to the crowd and goof off more than the entertainment. I’m more of a country gal.
