Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Dad News no broken bones, they are going to keep him over night, I was so afraid he broke something, he’s dehydrated so they are giving him fluids
Yay! So thankful for that, Julie! 🙏
Good news Julie, thanks for the update {{HUGS}}
Wonderful news Julie! The fluids will hydrate also give insurance another reason for the hospital to keep him. Hope he ate his supper. You know hospital food!
Oh no! Just saw where Julie’s dad fell down; thank goodness he’s been retrieved from that iffy location and admitted to hospital. I’ll be keeping good thoughts for him and Mom 🙏
Thank you Pam, they need them😘
Good afternoon all. 🌼 Had a busy day around the house, and I’m exhausted. I am going to fix an early supper here in a minute. Julie, I am praying for your Dad. 🙏 He is in good hands at the hospital. I will be checking in frequently to see if there’s any word.
Hi Karen how are you doing? What got you exhausted?
Hi Debbie. I did good with dusting. Then I had to vacuum. Had to be done. Did most all of it. Time to rest. Then I will be fine. 😊
That is a good kind of exhaustion! You were productive.
I feel good about it. Not ready to conquer the world yet, but . . .
One step at a time.
Hello Karen
Hi Ardyth.
Thank you Karen Marie😘 He’s a tough old guy
Indeed, he is. 🩵💙
@Julie from reading the comments it seems your dad has been admitted to the hospital for a few days after a fall, I hope everything checks out ok 🙏
Thank you Deborah😘
I’m going to sign off for the day and get some things done. Nice chatting with ya’ll.
So sorry I missed you, Lin. I’m just getting with the program. Hope to catch you next time. 🌸
answered you below, Lin
Boo Hoo. Good evening Lin, make something good to eat, enjoy you peaceful time. 🥰♥️
Julie: You need big nuts to hang at the squirrls nest
Julie made me do it. 🤣
😂🤣
😂😂
It is Julie’s fault. I’m innocent.
Mmm-hmmm and i’m sure you have some ocean front property located in Arizona to sell me 😏 😄
Well I do lake front property, but I don’t know the name of the lake.
😄
I will sell it cheap because it is in the middle of a desert.
Good afternoon…sorry to read that Julie’s dad fell, hope he’s ok. I haven’t done much today..we did go to the credit union and to visit FIL so we could give the caregiver her gift bag (she wasn’t there in December) and works every other Saturday. We have one or two more gift bags to give to the caregivers. I’m thinking of a short walk with Bane but it’s getting colder…and maybe do one load of laundry. Going to watch the ice skating and some of the FB game, maybe go back and forth.
Hi Lynn it got cold and windy here. Thanks about my Dad, I don’t get the FB game😫
That’s just not natural Julie, for you not to be able to get the game!! ☹️. 😢
Hi Lynn. How cold is it where you are? I forget what part of the country. I’ve been wonderfully lazy today. Was going to gather more stuff for the Goodwill but we had a morning snow which led me to staying snug at home. Was hard to get back into the mood to do chores. Had a busy day yesterday so I don’t feel too guilty🙂 In your post you mentioned caregivers. How kind to gift. Is someone you love in a nursing home?
Hi Lin…DH’s dad/my FIL, is at home and has several caregivers..my DH is one of them.
Hi. Took me a minute to figure what FIL meant but I got it! Sounds like DH’s Dad is getting good care. That makes all the difference. A retired nurse, I have seen that first hand. I applaud anyone who steps up to care for their elders if they are able to💛 It is not an easy task.
