Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello…cold day…haven’t done anything yet, might do a load of laundry later..waiting to see if DH wants to get the free community meal but I’m thinking he won’t..maybe I’ll just get takeout for me and then we might head to FIL’s with the dogs, not sure yet..enjoyed the skating, especially Chock and Bates and Ilia (cutie)…fell asleep so didn’t watch the last part of the Bears game…wonder if FIL watched it, don’t know if he gets that channel.

Why do they want to kill cranes?
They cranes cause corn crop damage for the farmers so solution is to kill them but their are other solutions, we are talking Sandhill cranes

We couldn’t get the game, I was going to listen to it on the radio, but wasn’t in the mood so I just went to bed. I see some blue sky peeking out from the clouds maybe we will get some sun😎
Now that I don’t have cable, I don’t get much sports. I was really into watching the WNBA and miss that. I would also enjoy the ice skating you’ve mentioned. I hope the sun stays. Then I can fling open my curtains! Otherwise I keep them shut to retain heat.
The ice skating is on NBC, I like watching it because you get to see people fly😍I open my window in my bedroom Jade likes to sit in it and I listen to the birds, I also enjoy the fresh air
I open mine if it is about 60. Gas is so expensive. I so look forward to Spring when I can open all the windows!
Oh I would hate to have curtains shut in the day time. We do have storm windows on them which I’m sure help.
Replying late – I hate it to. I like light! But the curtains keep out cold which helps control my hearing bill

Good Morning Lin, I’m doing chores too we can yodel together😱 will find out more about Dad today when I talk to my Mom-when he can come home? they were having snow yesterday, my Mom wanted to go to the hospital but roads were bad the EMT’s told her to stay home. The picture of that doorway is beautiful, looks like its made with the bottoms of glass bottles, so creative😍 its like a grotto😘
Yodeling….😮 Good you will talk with your Mom. Smart advice from EMT’s regarding roads. I Googled Ashland just to see how far north they were. I didn’t realize just how far north they are. That is quite a drive from here. Don’t laugh – I’ve only been as far north as the Highland Veterans Memorial. I can’t remember what town. North of Camp Douglas. I went to Door County once.
