Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I am missing clumps and clumps of posts. I find I have to refresh every 10 minutes in order to halfway keep up with what’s going on. But there are still missing posts. I discovered tonight that I missed over 2 hours of information. Sometimes when I refresh, I find that the missing information is from 10 minutes ago, and sometimes it’s from 2 hours ago. I don’t know what’s wrong, but I hope someone can help me figure it out. Imagine what it would feel like having a continuous telephone call with several people, and then finding out they’ve… Read more »

Karen sometimes you are replying or posting to a post from yesterday. The post from yesterday can come to the top today and the conversation continues. Then eventually it all goes back to where it originated yesterday. It can get confusing. So that may be why it seems your posts are missing. I saw posts to day where posts from the 13th and today are mixed together.

I have been real careful with that, Debbie. I seldom go back to the past anymore.Anytime I’m even thinking about going back to an earlier message I close out, and then come back and refresh again before going back to the current time. I have done everything I can do from this end and, you are right the days are even mixing up now. And I’m not so sure you have gotten all of my messages. I have not received replies for all of them.

Do you check for likes? Sometimes I read a post and can’t think of anything to say or add so I like so you will know I read it.

Reply to  KyDebbie

Yes I check for likes. The new messages are mainly the ones I don’t see, but there are some replies I don’t see also. I scroll through all the time looking for messages, then, all of a sudden, 5 to 10 pop up from an hour ago that I never saw. And these are continual occurrences. And, like I say, I am refreshing all the time.

No Debbie, nothing is your fault. It is happening overall. Now I am seeing a previous reply you sent to me at 10:05, coming after the new message I sent you at 10:23. It is just jumbled up, and factor that over many many messages and replies, and I just can’t keep up and like I said sometimes they don’t show up for a long time. But, not to worry. I will just go nuts for a while. It is not your fault and it is not just you. It’s the whole system. Maybe it just doesn’t like my phone.
