Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Our electric went off, then immediately back on. Not a good sign. Michael is afraid of running out of gas, so he is doing a one hour generator on, one hour off. Nancy is freezing. Why he didn’t get more gas I cannot fathom. I’m sure he has more cans, he owns a lot of stuff that is gas powered. Some probably diesel but a lot gas.

Tell Nancy to put extra clothes on and climb into bed get under the covers that will help her warm up, body heat does help if you contain it, Those gas generators use up alot of gas, if you run them nonstop-it might be to dangerous to go get more gas. I don’t know what the weather is by her, gas stations might not be open too? glad your power came back on, maybe it was a power drain?
I wouldn’t want Michael to go get gas, just don’t know why he didn’t get more in the first place. Trust me he definitely can afford it.

Hi Pam. Nancy said she would have to pull out the fridge to get to the plug. Oh well, most fridges aren’t too hard to move. She said she would just put food outside. 😏. I’m going to investigate EcoFlow batteries. We are forecast to be -5 Monday night. I don’t think I ever remember that cold here.
She can put freezer stuff out side, just tell her not to open the fridge

I use the front porch for a extra freezer space or fridge in the winter it works good

A story popped outside last night to feed the Fabbit and there was a cat, I think its my neighbors cat across the street? the kitty meowed at me and just Incase it was a lost kitty I put some food out for it- food was there this morning so it must of gone home? but still I wouldn’t let a cat out when its this cold
at least it wasn’t hungry so probably had not been out long. Could be it darted out.
I have noticed paw prints in the snow so I know a cats been around, it,meowed at me like it wanted to come in-pulled at my heart strings. It was cold

No I don’t have their number, I will go look around and see if I see it, can go knock on their door and ask, I’m going to go look at my community page for lost pets and see if there’s one lost in my area I got a good look at it, it’s a big dark tabbyno white on it
