Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I don’t think Valentines Day is an official thing either, as in legal holiday. I just discovered Galentine’s Day when I went to Walmart Tuesday. I was browsing cards and I got in a section with multiple Galentines card. I had no idea what that was, sSo I whipped out my cell phone and searched it. I never heard of it in MN or here…….no ads for it, friends, customers have never mentioned it so that is why I thought it was a term that you came up with.
Yes, Galentine’s Day is popular in Tucson, with numerous events held around February 13th to celebrate female friendship. Activities include specialized brunches, crafting workshops (like jewelry or bouquet making), and themed parties at local venues such as the Arizona Sands Club, Whiskey Del Bac, and various downtown boutiques.
None of this is advertised anywhere and no wonder I havent heard of it…..I dont partake in those things
