Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I’m back from lunch- I got Jade outside right away when I got home, she really wanted out when I was leaving

She was out front for a walk and wanted to walk in the snow😂 she even laid down in it and her tummy is all wet right now-brought her in as her wet fur was picking up dirt and sand, plus muddy prints on the kitchen floor
looks and sounds like she had fun! We don’t have any snow on the ground here.

back for a minute…yes Galentine’s is a big thing here and at lots of stores and little gift shops…like I mentioned, treats and wine, good deals on clothing, jewelry and more…some have vendors set up in their shops…and they have fun things to do. Time to feed the puppies 😀
Hello…last night we went out for dinner, used a couple gift cards…I got margherita flatbread, DH got the steak tacos, and our appetizer was two big pretzels with three different things to dip them in, two were cheese dips, the other a mustard dip. We might go out for a bit this afternoon (farm store, Aldi) but not sure yet. A LOT of businesses around here are having Galentine’s day events, some already did…you can get treats, special deals, wine, even hair tinseling at one which I think would be fun and cute. I guess for the most part I’ve thought positively about it even though March 13, 2015 was pretty bad.
since my grandma was Scottish and believed in some of those superstitions, guess I wanted to be a bit rebellious? or just turn it around to be more positive.

Its all just all superstitious weird stuff- like don’t walk under a ladder, step on a crack break your mothers back, don’t cross paths with a black cat, its just another day in a month and #13 is some peoples lucky number

it’s on different days here, some shops have already had their celebrations…others have it tomorrow or even Sunday..I’m always checking out the fb pages of my favorite shops anyway to see what’s going on. I didn’t even know it was actually today.
