Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I finally made it! I got up late today, checked one nest, and then immediately got busy on what I had to do. I didn’t even eat. I’m just now fixing something to eat and will probably go to bed after I eat it. I hope everyone had a good day. 🤗 I did read post some posts when I first got up. So I know a little about what’s going on, but that was a while ago.

Hey there! I washed clothes, dried some, hung the rest, and then put most of it away. Still waiting on my items that I hung to dry (jacket, couple of blouses). Made some butterscotch fudge (I felt I really needed it), got some stuff out of the bags and boxes husband puts them in, and put them away, played with D, washed a bunch of dishes. I think that’s it. What have you been up to?

There you are! I haven’t done a lot today. Fixed my medicine planner for a month. Watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, then some of the hockey game this morning. I’ve been pretty lazy.

Sounds like a nice day. I used to have my medicines in a box of strips, but after my hernia surgery I never got back to it. So now, come each night, I’m hunting and pecking through pills. I need to take care of that right way, as it is taking way too much time. It’s #1 on my wayward list. Throughout the day, I played a bunch of songs that my brother and I used to listen to. And I played a couple of Elvis songs that my mom used to call radio stations and ask them to play… Read more »

My medicine box is helpful. It has 28 little boxes, all my medicine fits in one little box except the shots of course. It is a lot easier than fooling with each pill’s vial every day. Oh how nice to play songs that remind you of your mother and brother. Sweet memories, good music. Yes, I have two appointments this week, one on Tuesday just routine, in Somerset. The other is a first time to see this doctor, and the first time to see any doctor in Danville KY. That is an hour from here. We go through there every… Read more »

Yes, seems I’m finally settling in with doctors. For awhile when I got out of the hospital I saw some kind of medical person every week. The trips to Vanderbilt were the hardest. So many new doctors, so many tests of all kinds. This Danville doc hopefully is the last new doctor, last new thing for a long time.

I think you need high expectations. Your doctors are going to figure out what is going on with you. My expectations for me are low because there really isn’t anything to find out about me. They know all about my feet, and I know the only thing is surgery and I just can’t handle it. But you, they are still finding stuff. They will put it all together and help you. Hang in there. Karen I said good night above about 15 minutes ago but wanted to respond to your comments. But I really need to go on to bed… Read more »
