Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Not surprised on the news they said we had 60+ gust, with 40-50 mph sustained but it will die down as it gets later in the afternoon

the neighbor’s trampoline is in front of their front porch 😮…glad she has other doors to go out of but she’ll stay in until the kids get out of school.

Maybe they are above the weather? Or need to practice under all circumstances?

Good morning Bella Buds. I’m happy this morning that Lynn didn’t have any significant trouble, Julie’s dad is better, Dutchess is better. Now we need to hear from Pam and Karen. Our temperatures will roller coaster, with a high of 74 and a low of 16 just right there together. Our trees are budding and I hope it doesn’t stress them too much. Y’all have a good day and hold down the hatch.

Good morning sweet heart, nice to wake up with a song in your heart(happy) The cold change really only hurts the fruit tree buds as it stops the production of fruit, other trees just stop sending sap up to the buds, the buds die but are replaced by new ones

GoodMorning Bellas, its very windy just popped my head outside and it feels warmer out there, the wind is from the storm system drawing up warm air into it. Anyhow its roaring through the tree branches the classic wind sound-what a day to fly a kite😍

As far as I know the snow doesn’t start till Saturday night into Sunday, no snow yet. The wind is really picking up, big trees just whipping around, I can see trees in the distance with big branches hanging-its the prolonged wind that will take branches down
