Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

You need a little humidifier. They help the nasal passages too.

Hi sorry for your husband having to stay at his Dad’s. Taking care of an elderly parent is hard. When dad died it wasn’t but about 6 months when we sold the home and used the money for Mom to stay in a series of independent, assisted living, and nursing home. So we never had to see to her full time. Still it was a chore doing grocery, sometimes laundry, getting her to a lot of doctor’s appointments, clothes all the rest. I hope y’all get to go out to eat.

We have to find a better answer for our elderly folks. None of them mean to be a burden and yet . . . . I wish I knew what the answer was.

It is just a different world from farm families where a lot of homes were multi-generational. People didn’t live as long then either. I think when most got past being able to care for themselves they soon died.

Sounds about right. We really need to figure something out though. Either stop trying to live so long, or figure out how to stay somewhat healthy living so long. And I don’t think we will ever get smarter than the brain, who tells us when it is time. I think some of the Eastern cultures have found a way to take care of their elderly. Who knows, though.

I would switch the Bingo to Maggie, she used to cry when I was in the shower, I don’t know if it was because she thought she was going to get a shower to? she was a big dog the only way I could give her a bath was to get in the shower with her😂she would not do a bath but a shower was OK because I was with her-silly thing😘

It’s nothing to mess around with, he hired non union workers those workers cost less but also don’t protect their workers from stuff like this union workers would of taken proper steps to keep workers safe. He went for the cheaper cost and thus exposed lots of people to the dust
