Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I just learned that baby elephant Linh Mai will be publicly introduced next week, on April 22nd, Earth Day, at the Smithsonian Zoo. I think she is 2 months old. She is the first Asian elephant born at the zoo in over 25 years. The article I read said that they will resume their live cam operations on that day. She is so adorable! 🥰
She is a cutie pie. She was on CNN this morning. Dana Bash did a story on her, fed her a bottle of she takes a bottle every two hours around the clock.

Love the baby elephants 🐘 i was very surprised to read that Mom rejected her; very unusual for an ele to do that. 🐘
I was like bottle fed? animals learn from each other in the wild. If she was around no other Female with a calf she wouldn’t know how to raise a calf. And if the Mom was raised by humans she might not of had a mother to nurse from-she doesn’t know what to do.
Rick saw this recipe in the newspaper this morning. It’s ground chicken meatballs in a sauce over rice. It was okay.

I bet the sauce is really good. I would probably need a veggie added. Wonder how peas would be, maybe some green onion? Of course I really don’t know because I don’t know the taste of the sauce.
How about a nice green salad and maybe the sauce has somewhat of an onion flavor. Or mushroom.

Debbie, I saw a piece on medications tonight on one of the news stations. They were talking about Wegovy and a couple of similar drugs. They were wondering how we, the US, would be able to afford it in the future. I guess it is getting more expensive. 🥶
It is really expensive. The drug companies want their money for all the research before the patent runs out. I think it would be better to have a longer patent so the gist could be spread out more.

Whats coming has me kinda worried, they storm has a lot of purple in the red and those are hail cores-could get 2 inch hail and I say Hail NO!!!!

Me too, I talked to a few neighbors that were outside and everyone I talked to had their car windows broken out saw no house damage or trees down
