Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. A lot of people will have a leaking roof.
It put holes in peoples siding too, I haven’t seen any roofing companies, people stay up on there roofs here because of the snow fall

We have had 5 tornados and no injuries😘 and as far as I have heard no one was hurt by the hail

Rick just told me that last night he made a turkey sandwich and he said the turkey has got to go so it is now in the garbage. He said it was slimy. I had no taste. So we are through with turkey and ham sandwich meat. I will still continue to eat. Bologna, pepperoni and salami.
We buy this a lot. I don’t know if it is regional or national, but Smithfield and Private Selection both have a similar product.
Do you have to cook it? Rick is thinking about buying a turkey breast to bake for sandwiches.

We have this “meat” , too. It is meat particles torn off the bones, shredded, a load of saltwater and chemistry added and then shaped to a kinda loaf, baked and cut. And we people say oh yummy, but it is worthless and unhealthy. We have a show on tv where this was exactly shown. Yuck! So ugly.
Ricks idea is great ! Buy the real thing. Sausage is made in a similar ugly way, like wiener or bologna. I really cant eat it any more.
Hi Gabi, I can’t eat meat with nitrates I eat chicken sausage it has no nitrates. Can’t have nitrates because its bad for my kidneys
The only sausage without curing salt over here is “bavarian gelbwurst”. Its a pork and veal sausage. Curing salt is unhealthy, too.
Food industry only cares about money , not people’s health.
Nitrates are in curing salt AND in many veggies ! One reason why it is in veggies , is the manuring.

Yes, that is true. I eat more fish lately. Then again, the fish eats plastic particles in the oceans. And now ? I eat an egg, but the chickens get some food coloring in their chicken food, that their eggyolk gets nice and yellow. I saw it on tv ,plus it was on our news a while ago. I bought organic eggs and they really had a pale yolk.
I dont know but eggs are much paler here that they were in Minnesota.
Maybe no coloring allowed in the chicken food ?
Smithfield is a good brand😋 I love their ham steaks-no waste
We buy those often. Cooks is another brand that is good. This type of meat is really good as a biscuit sandwich too. Or slice it up for regular sandwiches.

I think just about any meat that is cooked has added sodium. I don’t consider cooking or seasoning as processed. Don’t know much about curing. I think raw, fresh, never frozen turkeys at Thanksgiving even have been injected with sodium. Not sure about that tho.

Yes, many, if not most, supermarket turkeys at Thanksgiving are pre-injected with a solution containing sodium (salt), water, and sometimes herbs or preservatives to ensure a “juicy,” tender bird and to prevent overcooking.
I think when the term “processed” is used in a detrimental way it involves a lot more than an injection of sodium. I think milk would be considered processed. Most is both homogenized and pasteurized.
Some of those meats are gross…..like the video showed.
Do you have a deli at a store or a meat market? you can have them slice meat for you. If the Turkey was slimy its growing bacteria that means its spoiled, did you just open the package of Turkey? what was the best by date? you could return it to the store
it is still processed meat even if you buy it in the deli.
i opened it yesterday and i amstill grossed out. i can do w/o sandwich meat.

Rick just bought it and I opened it two days ago. I have never been fond of this kind of meat I think it’s gross It’s always yucky so I’m OK with not eating it again

Coincidence! I just saw Serena Williams doing the Ro weight loss commercial. She said she had lost 34 pounds. Who would have thought she had that much to loose? And she showed her muscles. It certainly doesn’t look like she lost muscle mass.

I was beginning to worry because I had not seen one, but apparently it is too early. I think I finally got my rheumatoid medicine straightened out. Insurance doesn’t want to pay for it. No, they will never stop making it. There are other brands that are similar, and cheaper knock offs. You may have seen Serena Williams advertising on tv a company called Ro that makes a version of it. Yes, Serena, a very fit athlete, still had a weight problem and has lost weight on this drug.

Insurance and I’m sure expense. NOT because it doesn’t work and has helped make me healthier than anytime in my life.
If I could use it until I lost 20 to 25 lb I would pay it. But since you have to be on it the rest of your life, it’s not something I want to do. But I’m happy for you. I’m glad you have finally got yourself to your weight that you want to be at. Congratulations!
Thanks Ardy, I still want to loose 5 pounds. You have not had a life long weight problem. You might be able to use it long enough to loose the weight, shrink your stomach, and change habits and then go off the medicine.
Good morning…60s now, this afternoon will be so nice…70s and sunny. I’ll spend some time outside and on the porch…if DH has time maybe we can walk the dogs at the cemetery….he’s been getting home kind of late, though so we’ll see. Good morning Ardy, I didn’t know you could use a stick in your car for music. Doesn’t sound like you need the CD’s.
It’s a good substitute but of course I would rather be able to play CD’s – they are going to waste now.
There are stores that can transfer old technology on to new technology. Of course that costs money but not really expensive.
What would I be transferring it to?
USB that works in your car. A USB would probably hold more than one CD but I don’t know how you would select between the CD’s.
I am not in my car very much so downloading songs from MP3 to my laptop to the stick works for me.
I dont have any other choice.
