Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good evening…we took the dogs for a walk in the cemetery…stopped at the grocery /deli on the way home…DH is making one of his concoctions, think I’ll eat on the porch. Tomorrow afternoon and night we might get severe storms, ugghh…if we do I hope DH is here at that time. I took a nice walk today, just me and really didn’t get a lot done.
Sometimes a girl needs a walk alone.
I enjoy my walks alone in the mornings.
Lynn, just looked up the Sandnes Ultra; from what i could see under Information, the promoters are very concerned for participants; want them to be prepared for any eventuality. Hope DS does well and has a good time.
What are they concerned about?
Weather, food, water, especially the weather changes that can occur, especially at this time of year.

Slept in this morning; then off to DollarTree; got Dominic’s graduation card & b-day cards thru the end of July. Ate b-fast at Village Inn; geez that’s a well-run restaurant. Had their Omelet Florentine with spinach, ‘shrooms and tomatoes; with a side of pancakes 😋 Managed to slop syrup on my Kindle; my table looked like it was inhabited by a 3-year old; such a mess, i apologized to my poor server. By the time i got home i was more than ready for a nap. 😴

There is another nest at the hummer cam. With a female sitting, I wonder if its Olive? the nest isn’t on the cams here I saw it on Youtube
