Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Here we go again! I just started typing a message and voila!!! The screen refreshed. So, I’m back on and I wanted to say I’m going to take a nap. I got up early this morning and find that I’m not going to make it through the day if I don’t get a nap. I enjoyed chatting this morning. I hope everyone has a great afternoon. Hello…had an early lunch, leftovers from last night…haven’t heard back from my helper and today is the best weather day…might rain and be windy the other days and of course there is Thanksgiving…so I might make a few leaf piles myself if I’m warm enough out there. I won’t be cleaning out the gutters though or dumping the wheelbarrow…but a couple other ideas fell through so I have more time…no walk with the neighbor and no coffee with my cousin. Hi Lynn, have rain and snow coming up here, you wouldn’t catch me cleaning the gutters….
hope my helper can get to the gutters soon…sometimes I wonder if he’s coming back.

Hi Lynn. 🤗 Seems like a slow day for you. I’m sorry your plans fell through. But it is a good day to do indoor cleaning. So much fun! I have to look at it that way. Just turn the music on and have a good time! 🥰
Hi Karen…I wish it was a slow day but without my helper and needing to clean, it won’t be…I might even do some of both. I’d be more motivated if it was a bit warmer, to rake. I do sometimes turn on music while cleaning but not during noisy jobs like vacuuming, of course..

Hi Lynn. I hope your helped shows up for you. We just had gutter guards installed on top of the existing gutters. There were not very expensive. Basically strips of metal with a lot of small holes. Water goes in but not debri. It is lucky your husband can take off work when he needs to.
he doesn’t take off many days…and not today, he’ll do his work at his dad’s. Mondays and Tuesdays he works from home so he can do it there. of course there might be an interruption once in awhile with his dad. Since he doesn’t take vacations, he sometimes has the whole month of December off…he only takes an afternoon off every once in awhile

He is an energizer bunny for sure. It is good he can work from home.
