Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I don’t know if Julie’s watching the Cocodona 250 race or not, but this girl named Rachel is absolutely killing it. She is way ahead of everybody. Will finish way ahead of everybody as I think had 13 minutes of sleep since this started Monday morning

Some will finish sooner….It is not a competitive race…no medals or prizes are given out.

So the goal is to just finish, not win?

Good morning, which it still is here. It’s only about 11:00. I did not walk today because it was cold out. I’m a wimp and I don’t care. Then I took a shower. Did a couple loads of laundry then I removed my nail polish, filed my nails, etc. Then I was spying on the neighbors that were over at Laura’s watching them pack up boy they had their SUV packed full. Actually there were two couples, two two vehicles and the ones had two bikes and we wanted to see them put the covers on with the bikes cuz… Read more »

Since Laura’s house is a Airbnb now and right across the street from us, it’s kind of hard not to spy on them. People just coming and going. They just left and I bet somebody else will pull up tonight. We just play the guessing game of who they are, what they do LOL

I’ve seen similar covers but those covers are tighter than I’ve seen. Were those regular bikes or motorized? Looks like they could have been dirt bikes.

Good still morning to you Ardy. You got all beautified and more work done already. Spying on neighbors is a fun activity. I bought cheap binoculars for that purpose! Oh those cinnamon rolls look wonderful. You can add to the deliciousness by putting on some butter and microwaving just enough to softly melt the butter. The butter will continue to melt. Oh, makes my mouth water.

Yummy, I was eating to many sweets so I’m eating any right now. I was gaining way to much weight so working on eating fruit when I have a sugar craving. Maybe you can suggest to Rick just one roll is fine you don’t need a whole pan, its the extra iceing that makes them bad. But Ardyth he thought of you and wanted you to have something special😘

Bellas Good Morning😍 I’m watching a guy walking around a roof across the street, he’s chalked off where I assume there was hail damage. Looking at the roof I can’t see anything, but looking at it like this man is he can see more being up there and looking down on the roof. I got up late cleaned the kitchen. Got the plants out of the garage its a bright and sunny day. I’m doing this and that today enjoy your this and thats and throw in a wonder too😘

Good morning Sunshine. Most roofs hit by baseball size hail are going to have some damage. Sounds like you have had a busy morning.

I let Bruce know that a roof across the street was looked at-and from all the chalk marks there was damage😳

That is a good thing. Better to repair if necessary than wait for damage from leaking.

I don’t know, it may depend on how many roofs are on the house, whether it is leaking, how worn the roof is.
