Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. It must be different now. Back when I was in school we could join the honor society I think our freshman year, and it was based only on grade point average. They just checked the gpa to be sure you qualified. I don’t remember if they kept checking it after that.

I was up really late last night, so i slept in until noon!! I was so tired. Then I got up and just tried to function monst of the day. Can’t do that stuff any more. 🫣 I hope to go to bed early tonight.
I was up late, but can’t sleep that late, guess i usually have too many thoughts racing around in my head.

Hi Debbie. I got home at 11:05 PM. I was not happy, after waiting so long to go, earlier in the day. And then when we got home, I still had to eat supper. So bedtime was 1:15 am. Got to sleep about 2am, so I only slept 10 hours. That’s not too bad. I usually like to get eight to nine hours.
Do you like going out that late at night? I couldn’t sleep 10 hours. I average probably 7 hours.

Oh no. I like to be home by dark. I used to be okay with being out late, but I can’t do it any more. Like 7-9 hours, depending.

Maybe so. I lose track, because it’s not my fault. But not as late as last night. Eating supper that late isn’t good for me. I have to work on getting a good schedule together.

Husband. He wants us to still be footloose and fancy free. But he doesn’t realize that he can’t keep up with it either. He’s still up at 4:30 sometimes. Fine, he can do that, but keep it quiet. Dutchess is a dream. Adapts to everything her Mommie wants. 🙃
If you don’t want to go out at night just tell him you don’t want to go out and maybe tomorrow we can get an earlier start.
We go back and forth on it. Just one of those things. Sometimes I want to go early, sometimes he doesn’t. If i get my legs working better, I’ll go when I want.

We’ll stay with them; they’re always so horrified by our suggestion of getting hotel rooms. They’re great 40-yr old kids. 💖 I get about 2-4 hours of sleep, but i can sleep when i get home on Saturday 😴
