Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Wayne did not start the race out like this (leaning) The streets were filling up cheering him on. He made it to the finish line crawling but he missed the time by a minute!!!! We were all cheering him on and crying that were watching, all 4,000 of us. I hope I can find out how he is later.
That is sad. But I think it is good for us to set goals and face challenges, but there should still be a limit.
He put his all into the race. I just hope he will be OK and didnt do permanent damage.
