Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good evening…I didn’t do that much today, just a couple little things. I found the videos from last night all in order..so it wasn’t the full episode, like I didn’t hear judges’ comments or see when they told stories about the contestants or talked to them…just the songs and the ending. My mom will probably want to watch at least some of it sometime. We had some light rain on and off today. DH is cooking hamburgers, well, cheeseburgers. He’s mostly been gone…working, had a meeting after work..just got home. Almost time to eat and then feed the dogs.
