Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. with the wind, the “feels like” temp was 11 at one point, not sure if it got lower…tomorrow will be colder, I think

i don’t like it fried either; Cody always cooks 1 that way and 1 either roasted or smoked

We are fine with it in the oven……i bought him a fryer and he never used it….kind of dangerous too.
and that oil is very expensive; it’s about $50 just for the oil.
I know it is …that was another reason he never used it

Trust me, it can be done. Where there’s a will there’s a way, and there was a will several years ago. Oven broke down. Low coals, lid closed. Tasted smoked!
It will be a pretty small group tomorrow, maybe that will be nice..DH and I, my sister and mom, that’s it. It might be too cold to do much walking afterwards but I’ll probably need to walk some..and not much cleanup so maybe we won’t be there long.
Small groups are nice for conversation; there’s always so many people at Cody or Chelsea’s 🙄
as long as people stay off certain subjects, lol..and DH doesn’t talk so that’s three, lol

I’ve never cooked a turkey..that was always my aunt’s job, one reason we are getting CB meals.
They’re the easiest part of the meal. and i do have a very funny story about that
Hi Pam, we hit 76 today. Rick took his turkey out of the freezer on Monday. Just like you and his is ready to go in the oven tomorrow morning

It doesn’t take a lot to get me off kilter. Tuesday all I did was go get gas with Jo and the rest of the day just didn’t flow right.
Good evening…asked DH to pick up something at the grocery deli on his way home from the cemetery..he got me a turkey gobbler sandwich 😀 turkey, cranberry sauce, dressing, mayo on a hoagie roll. It was pretty good! My sister didn’t clean when she went back to my mom’s, gave up on that, needs a break..but did help make a couple jello desserts. I imagine she’ll be over in awhile, maybe we’ll watch a Thanksgiving episode of the Waltons or Thirtysomething…we already watched Thanksgiving episodes of Raymond and The Middle. Going to have a bit more of my sandwich..

Rick has been busy chopping and making his dressing getting his turkey and ready to put in in the morning.
Oh I bet it will be so delicious. What is diced between the celery and onions? Does he put mushrooms in his dressing? There are so many ways to make dressing.
